GETTING THERE:


Situated on the East Coast of New South Wales the Central Coast is located just south of Newcastle and north of Sydney.

BY CAR

The Central Coast is easily accessible via the Sydney to Newcastle Freeway.

There is a tourist information centre on the foreshore at Tuggerah Lake (all the locals and tourists can point you in the right direction). Alternatively check for door to door directions.

From Sydney approx 60-90min

From Newcastle approx 60min

BY TRAIN

Trains operate to the Central Coast from both Sydney and Newcastle with services departing approx every 30min. Then a bus from Gosford Station to The Entrance (practically to the door) it takes approx 1 hour RED BUS SERVICE

An Airport Shuttle Service operates daily from Sydney Airport Terminal.

ATTRACTIONS AND ACTIVITIES

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION: The property is conveniently located minutes from the Tuggerah Lake, restaurants and the shopping precinct.

Al fresco dining makes The Entrance the ideal place to enjoy a meal from cafes and restaurants. Try a different cuisine every night or enjoy a pub lunch in the Beer garden, The Memorial Club has great entertainment, The Entrance RSL has a great buffet, enjoy fish and chips by the water or sip a latte in one of the many out door cafes across from Tuggerah Lake and watch the world go by.

The Entrance Cinema is walking distance, a boat ramp is located at nearby at Picnic Point Reserve, try fishing off the wharf just down the road on Tuggerah Lake (Prawn season starts from late September to the end of April), Crabs and Bream found all year round) or beach fishing is popular at The Entrance North Beach, pelican hand feeding takes place daily at 3.00pm daily 365 days a year at Memorial Park, enjoy a picnic at Toowoon Bay, spearfishing, diving and snorkelling is popular at Bateau Bay, hire a boat or canoe on Tuggerah Lake or hire a bike along Tuggerah Lake Foreshore, public skateboard ramps are located near Picnic Point Reserve, putt putt, (bare foot) lawn bowls and ten pin bowling are all a short drive, surf or swim at either the beach, lake or baths (try a different beach everyday).

Shopping: is a relaxing past time with a wide range of boutiques found in the Town Center. The Lion Club markets are held every Sunday (weather permitting) in the car park behind the Entrance Cinema. Or take a short drive to Long Jetty, Bateau Bay or Erina Fair Shopping Centre (the largest single level shopping centre in the Southern hemisphere) where you will find a Hoyts cinema complex and Ice skating rink.

All Central Coast attractions are not far from The Entrance:

Horse riding at Australia's largest horse riding centre at Glenworth Valley.

Whale Watching: The Central Coast boasts some of the best viewing locations including Norah Head, Soldier's Beach and Crackneck Lookout at Bateau Bay from from early May to July for the northern migration of humpback whales.

Visit a themed garden and ancient Aboriginal sites and bush tucker tours at the Australia Walkabout Wildlife parks, historic tours of Norah Head Lighthouse and Mt Penang Gardens.

There is something for everyone no matter what the weather or season.

Due to hygiene reasons, we do NOT supply linen, bath towels or tea towels. However we do supply Blankets and Pillows. Linen required bedroom ONE consists of 1 double bed and 1 single, bedroom TWO consists of 2 single beds. bedroom THREE consists of 2 single bunk beds.

The Lake House is a neat and tidy 3 bedroom home which accomodates up to 7 people, ideal for the family holiday, weekend fishing escape or whatever the occasion.
