  • "I am writing this on behalf of our family. We were a big family group - 7 adults and 4 babies. We stayed 3 nights/4 days in the Lighthouse. It was an excellent place, very comfortable and with all the necessary facilities, including a very big Plasma TV (on which we enjoyed watching the tennis). We enjoyed the walks to the lake, the beaches nearby and the visits to Foster, for shopping and having coffee and hot chocolate in the many cafes!!. I will recommend this place to anyone - especially for larger families. There is a sort of granny flat downstairs for the older members to retreat when the noise gets a bit too much!! - David Thambiratnam (the father)"

  • "Our stay at The Lighthouse was most enjoyable. We had magnificent views of Smiths Lake, Sandbar and the Seal Rocks Light House. The house was both comfortable and very well equipped. It accommodated 5 adults and three children beautifully with room to spare. Our Border Collie enjoyed the large fully fenced back garden too. Highly recommend it as a holiday home. We certainly hope to return on a regular basis."

  • "Great, quiet location. Smiths Lake is definitely a place to go to get away from the busy life. The house was great - great balcony views, comfy couches to relax on, well-appointed kitchen and lots of space for a large group. Would stay at 'The Lighthouse' again for sure!"

  • "We had a wonderful week at the Lighthouse in Smith's Lake. The property is comfortable and well equipped. It's located very close to the lakeshore and within easy reach of the shops and the bowling club. Blueys and Boomerang Beach are close by and Forster is any easy drive. Smith's Lake itself is a gem."

  • "We had a girls weekend away at this beautiful house. It was so pleasant there. You had the choice of either sitting, relaxing and chatting in the peace and quiet or you could drive practically down the road to Forster and go shopping. Will hopefully be returning in the future - definitely recommended."

  • "We found the accommodation, facilities, view and surroundings of The Lighthouse to be superb and really enjoyed our holiday. I would definitely return to this house. The neighbours were nice and friendly too and it seemed as if life is lived at a slower, more relaxed pace! Having the lakeside, Frothy Coffee and shops within walking distance is a big advantage, as is being able to take our dog on holiday with us too. It was a lovely week! Cheers."

  • "We stayed at the Lighthouse with 2 families and 1 dog. We found the house to be clean and fairly well equipped. Our dog enjoyed daily walks down to swim in the lake and the kids enjoyed going down to the Frothy Coffee area for a swim and some boating. We spent a day at Seal Rocks which was beautiful and close to our accomodation. We also enjoyed some 4wheel driving around the area. We would recommend the Lighthouse to friends "

  • "We had the best two week holiday staying in The Lighthouse at Smith's Lake. We were two families of four and the Ligthouse suited all our needs perfectly. There was plenty of room both inside and out for boats, kayaks, trailers etc... with the large garage (and long hose!) coming in very useful. The house is close to the lake and a lovely stroll along the lakefront to Frothy's for a coffee. The nearby surf beaches were fantastic, dolphins, sea turtles, surfing, off-roading, heaps of fun! We had some great sailing on the Hobie 16 with that awesome wind kicking in on the lake mid-afternoons and the kids just loved the fishing. Very happy campers indeed!"
