The Lighthouse

"We had the best two week holiday staying in The Lighthouse at Smith's Lake. We were two families of four and the Ligthouse suited all our needs perfectly. There was plenty of room both inside and out for boats, kayaks, trailers etc... with the large garage (and long hose!) coming in very useful. The house is close to the lake and a lovely stroll along the lakefront to Frothy's for a coffee. The nearby surf beaches were fantastic, dolphins, sea turtles, surfing, off-roading, heaps of fun! We had some great sailing on the Hobie 16 with that awesome wind kicking in on the lake mid-afternoons and the kids just loved the fishing. Very happy campers indeed!"

"We found the Lighthouse to be well appointed with good views from the deck through the trees to Seal Rocks. The house on arrival was clean and the well fenced yard was more than adequate for our two Siberian Huskies. Plenty of shade and shelter through out the day for them even if they did spend most of the time on the side deck. The kids lived downstairs and the adults upstairs. Plenty of different beaches near by to choose from and the lake was only a short walk away for a morning paddle with the dogs. While the nearest off lead beach is Nine Mile at Tuncurry, we did hire a tinnie from Frothy's on one day and took them over to Sandbar (only accessible by 4WD) where they had a great time. We have booked again for next year."

"The Lighthouse is a spacious well appointed holiday house. Smiths Lake is a quiet forested village with reasonable driving distance to surf beaches. The house is a short walk Smiths Lake and the front deck (BBQ area) looks through tree across the lake to the ocean. We loved it and so did the other 9 people and two dogs with us. "

"The Lighthouse is a big, comfortable and relaxing spot to enjoy Smiths Lake and surrounds. There is plenty of space, the kitchen is well equipped and there is even a garage to store surfboards and things securely without bringing into the house. We travel with our German Shephard and he loved the house and the area - especially swimming in the lake. Check with the owners on whether or not the dog can sleep indoors or outside. Great spot, fabulous views and a peaceful location. We recommend it "
