With panoramic views of the bay and Mount Wellington, and located across the road from the beach, Bayview offers the perfect place for couples or small families to relax and unwind.

Whether you want to swim or fish in the crystal blue waters of the bay, read your book on the deck, curl up by the open fire with a glass of wine, be lulled to sleep by waves lapping against the shore or explore the coastline, Bayview is the ideal retreat for your next seaside getaway.

Locality

Opossum Bay is located on the South Arm Peninsula approximately 42 kilometres from Hobart by road. Opossum Bay is on the public transport route and the bus stops right outside Bayview.

The South Arm Peninsula is well known for its spectacular beaches and good fishing grounds. The beautiful Opossum Bay beach offers safe swimming and fantastic surf beaches are only a five minute drive from Bayview. The new Opossum Bay boat ramp/jetty makes boating and fishing activities very accessible.

Just four kilometres away is another seaside town, South Arm, which has a RSL and Community Club offering meals, Sunday luncheons and a bottle shop. Behind the Club is the Iron Pot Nine Hole Golf Course with a challenging water hazard but a welcoming nineteenth hole.

The general stores in both towns carry a good range of goods and Opossum Bay store is a just a short stroll from Bayview.
