It is all about water, from the stunning wet edge pool and sunken baths to the swimming holes and rapids in the pristine river. The Retreat:
Everyday pleasures come easily in this ambience. Your own fruit trees and herb gardens to wander through. Butterflies and birds are your neighbours. Retreat to the river to refresh and then relax and contemplate. It will be hard to leave to partake in the many activities in the local area of Mossman and Port Douglas. The magic of Whyanbeel Valley's open air playhouse, exotic fruit gardens, heliconia and orchid gardens. This boutique tropical rainforest retreat was designed at the end of 2000 by Chris Van Dyke the award winning tropical architect. He fell in love with the Daintree location which is all about absolute escapism.

28 acres of lush Daintree Rainforest paradise including 8 acres of sweeping lawns - all yours - mystical rainforest walks abound. The nearest neighbour is 2 kilometres away but yet the location is 5 minutes to Mossman, 5 minutes to beautiful Newell Beach and 3 minutes from the 18 hole Mossman Golf Course. Port Douglas is only 15 minutes away.
