Platypus Park Country Retreat is an accredited tourism accommodation operator, is Eco tourism Australia certified, and established in 1994 - your guarantee of excellent service and hospitality.

This is a 40 acre country property but only 2 minutes drive to the centre of town and beaches.Your onsite hosts are 5th generation Tasmanian's and will be able to assist you with all your travel information. Barnbougle Dunes golf is just five minutes drive.

FORESTER AND PIPERS are 2 bedroom fully self contained units. Very spacious, cosy wood fire and electric heating too. Sunny verandahs, so you can just relax and unwind. Full kitchens and living rooms.

Forester has a new bathroom with floor heating wow! What a bonus in winter!

BRID is a 1 bedroom fully self contained unit great for an overnight stay. Full kitchen and living room with wood fire.

SCOTTSDALE COTTAGES: We now offer two lovely 1880's stone cottages situated in central Scottsdale just 15 minutes drive from the Coastal town of Bridport in North East Tasmania.
Both three bedroom cottages cater up to six people, have spa bathrooms and modern kitchens. Scottsdale is on your way from Launceston to St Helens and the East Coast and is a convenient stopover point for a couple of days.

Fish for trout in the farm dams, walk to the Brid river private picnic point with gas barbeque. Children will enjoy the open space, swing and trampoline.

FRESH FARM produce now available from the garden. The coastal town of Bridport is just 2 minutes by car where you can enjoy strolling on the beaches any time of year. Supermarket, bakery, hotels and cafes, takeaways and post office, doctors, chemist are all at your finger tips. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Romantic spa cottages

Wattle cottage is a fully self catering 3 bedroom cottage. It has 2 queen bedrooms and a twin room. Kitchen/living room is fully equiped, including a dishwasher and the large oval bath in the bathroom is heaven!

Great for groups of friends to share. $180 double B&B package.

Lavender cottage is a one bed room intimate self catering cottage for two. Relax, reconnect, take time out together. Enjoy the new double spa bathroom with heated floor.Take a walk around the property. Breakfast hampers and seafood platters can be delivered to your door!
Book a massage as well - be really pampered.

Ensuite rooms

Lavender suite is our ensuite room with 1 double bed and 1 single.

This room also has disabled access and a full disabled bathroom. This room has tea and coffee making facilities, great for a quick overnight stay. No kitchen no living room.

Wattle Spa Ensuite is our 2 bed room ensuite room, one queen bed ground floor and one double up stairs.
Bathroom has a corner spa bath.

This room has tea and coffee making facilities, and a microwave. No kitchen and no living room.

Our Terms and conditions:
All rooms are non smoking.
Property is not suitable for pets.
Check in is after 2:00pm
Check out is by 10:00am.
No Show attracts 100% fee.
All Cancellations attract a 20% fee.
Cancellations within 72 hours attracts a 100% fee for the first night, and 20% of subsequent nights.
Late check out fee is by negotiation.
