Chose from Kings Lodge - a 300 yr old Balinese Kings Temple with a suspended king size bed, hand carved teak ceilings & doors, spa in the breezeway overlooking your own lake. This is a stunning lodge like nowhere else in the world;

Altwood Lodge - our hobbit style lodge crafted in rock and stone with arches and pillars supporting an earth covered roof & 2 sides, all glass at the front & rear, with spectacular views to Mt Warning and a private courtyard at the rear with an outside spa, wonderful carvings everywhere, again there is nothing like this anywhere else in the world; or

Sir Joseph Banks Lodge - our yurt style rainforest lodge with a self supporting roof crafted from 8 different rainforest timbers, also with additional hot shower outside in the trees. Spa on the balcony looking straight into the rainforest, so close you can touch the leaves. Intimate & romantic!

We now offer a full range of day spa treatments, massages and yoga sessions in the privacy of your own lodge. True pampering.

Meals: breakfast is provided in the tariff, we provide evening meals for $90 per couple. There are also many local restaurants very close by. Each lodge has full kitchen facilities & BBQs also if you feel like cooking your own.

Swimming: we have 2 gorgeous swimming holes to chose from, glorious Mt Warning spring water to swim in. Your skin will feel amazing afterwards.

Wildlife on our property: a platypus couple, turtles, water dragons, spotted goannas, bush turkeys, kangaroos and paddymelons, echidnas, and of course all the amazing birdlife including whip birds, kookaburras, rainforest parrots, brown cuckoo doves, cockatoos, too many to list really.

Romance and Honeymoons

If you are looking for somewhere special to propose, or somewhere perfect to escape from your busy life, look no further. Our lodges have been built with romance and seclusion in mind. We even have the perfect wedding location on site, complete with celebrant and photographer! (Intimate weddings for up to 8 people).

We have developed specially formulated day spa pamper treatments, with each lodge offering a themed treatment of it's own. Beautiful clay masques, exfoliations, facials, massages and stone therapies to indulge you!

We will also set up your lodge with flowers, rose petals, champagne, light candles, run the spa, play romantic music, all while you are our walking with your unsuspecting loved one. Everything you need to pop that special question (we have never had a negative response yet!!)

This stunning Retreat, voted the most outstanding property in New South Wales, is ideally located, under two hours drive south of Brisbane airport and half an hour from Gold Coast/Coolangatta airport. We can pick you up from the G/C airport if required for a small extra charge. We are at the base of Mt Warning, which is 10k out of Murwillumbah.

Things to Do and See (if you can tear yourself away from your lodge)

The climb to the top of World Heritage Mt Warning is well worth the effort, and is just 3kms from our gate. Mt Warning gets the first rays of the morning sun in the whole of Australia, and is visible for many miles away. Some say it holds magical powers!

The local National Parks also have easier walks, and there is canoeing, horseriding and archery locally.

Right next door tucked away in the forest is the Buddha Belly Gallery & Cafe, providing beautiful lunches on the back lawn next to the stream. Watch the platypus play while you dine. And there is always a great exhibition on display featuring local artists. (This region is not short of very talented artists and musicians). Not far away are lovely restaurants, alternative shopping & swimming holes.

Outstanding beaches including Byron Bay, Kingscliff, Cabarita and Hastings Point are half an hour away, with lots of gorgeous country towns with markets to explore along the way. (Cabarita Beach is dog friendly).
