Clydesdale Manor occupies a prime position in the exclusive enclave of Sandy Bay which is widely recognised as Tasmania’s most prestigious suburb.

It is an ideal location for both holiday travelers and business visitors alike as it is within 500 metres of the Wrest Point Casino, Royal Hobart Yacht Club, the University of Tasmania, the shops and restaurants of Sandy Bay and, of course, the enchanting Derwent River. Additionally the mainstream tourist hub of Constitution Dock, Salamanca Place and the Battery Point environ are a mere 2 kilometres away.

From the moment you approach the imposing Georgian style building via the sweeping gravel driveway, you are impressed by the sheer presence and symmetry of this National Trust and Heritage Council listed building which is perfectly centered among a half acre of English style gardens.

Befitting the fact that Clydesdale Manor was built in the 1880’s as a “Gentleman’s Residence” guests are delightfully impressed by the warmth and serenity of the numerous rooms including the intimate Guest Lounge Room with open fireplace. Adding to the grandeur and scale of the property is the meandering cedar staircase, 14 feet ceilings and 15 inch high skirting boards.

There are 7 spacious guest suites (all ensuited) which have been tastefully furnished with quality soft furnishings and specially selected antique
furniture so as to provide the perfect respite after either a day of site seeing or at the end of a business day. In keeping with the philosophy of exceeding guests wishes spa suites have been installed in two rooms.

Breakfast is served in a delightful verandah style room overlooking the rear gardens and fountain.
