Turon Gates is a bush retreat hideaway just beyond the Blue Mountains - tranquil and unspoilt just 2.5 hours from Sydney. Well-built rustic log cabins - only 7 river cottages situated along 15km of crystal clear trout stream and only 6 mountain cottages with sensational mountain views, Turon Gates has long been an all-year-round favorite holiday destination for many Australian couples and families.

Pricing Guide

From $120 per night

Riverside Cabins for weekends:
Fri 2pm - Mon 11am (3 persons)
Minimum Charge $390 weekend
Additional Adults $120 ea.
Additional Children $60 ea.
2 adult/ 2 night special $320

Riverside Cabins for weekdays:
Mon 2pm - Fri 11am (1-3 persons, min. stay 3 nights)
Minimum Charge $120 per night
Additional Adults $40 each per night.
Additional Children $26 each per night.

Mountain Cabins for weekends:
Fri 2pm - Mon 11am (3 persons)
Minimum Charge $498.
Additional Adults $136 ea.
Additional Children $68 ea.

Mountain Cabins for weekdays:
Mon 2pm - Fri 11am (1-3 persons, min. stay 3 nights)
Minimum Charge $168 per night
Additional Adults $48 each per night.
Additional Children $30 each per night.

Camping
No bookings required, arrive anytime.

  • "Turon Gates is an absolutely amazing place! Suited to couples or families, you can doas much or as little as you like. We hired a mountain view cotttage in the middle of winter and snuggled up for a few days by the fire with our books, however we could well have gotten involved in fishing, horse riding, bush walking etc. Soren was extremely friendly and helpful, responding to any queries promptly. This place is so quiet and peaceful, we can't wait to return!"

  • "Turon Gates is a fantastic place to go with family and friends. We stayed in the cabins (with our dog) and it felt like we were in a different world. Both my husband & I have travelled quite a bit and it is so funny that this is the only place we have stayed at twice. It is a perfect place to relax and get away for the weekend. You can drive to Sofala (old gold mining town) by 4 wheel drive and see some magnificent scenery along the way (Typically Australian) you have to open and close gates on the way which was so much fun for the kids. The river walk a Turon was a highlight and there is a water hole for a swim (if you are game in the colder months). Close to Mudgee wineries for a day tour if you want to leave this peaceful place. Every night we have a fire outside for the kids and they loved toasting the mashmellows. I think that particular if you are a sydneysider this is the perfect getaway from the hustle & bustle of the city. Please go with family or friends and a promise that you will enjoy."
