Built at the turn of the 19th century, Cavendish Guest House and Cavendish Apartment on one side of the guest house, is located in Stanmore, an area that was popular for the burgeoning successful mercantile middle class, prior to the opening up of the North Shore, with the building of Sydney Harbour Bridge in the early 1930's.

Consequently, Stanmore retains quite a gracious atmosphere, mixed with a modern cosmopolitan buzz of apartment development begining in the 1970's. The growing population of young professionals, academics and artists are drawn to the inner west of Stanmore, Newtown and Leichhardt, because of there proximity to the Sydney CBD, University of Sydney, RPA Hospital and the local Newtown High School of the Performing Arts.

At Cavendish is close to the neighbouring suburbs of Enmore, Newtown, Petersham, Leichhardt and Annandale.

Just a short walk can take you to the restaurants of bohemian Newtown and Enmore, Little Portugal at Petersham, or Little Italy's Leichhardt.

Cinameas are close by in Leichhardt at the Palace, or in Newtown at the Dendy. Also, close by is Enmore Theatre, a popular venue for a variety of varied and live acts.

Stanmore Railway Station, 2 minutes walk away from At Cavendish, will give you easy access to the CBD, just 4 kilometres away, and all the attractions of the City of Sydney.

Bedroom 2 King size bed splits to two long singles.
Bedroom 3 Queen size bed.

Double sofabed avaiable in lounge area.
Porta cot available.

Bedrooms I and 2 share main bathroom that will have claw foot bath as well as shower, vanity and WC and will have a gas flame fire in the original fireplace.

Bedroom 3 has dedicated bathroom with shower, vanity and WC and under floor heating.

CAVENDISH APARTMENT
Bedroom has a king size bed that splits into two twin singles.
There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge room

Kitchen and Laundry

CAVENDISH GUEST HOUSE

Kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, oven, cooktop, rangehood, microwave, toaster and dishwasher. The limestone floor has under tile heating.

Laundry is equipped with front loading washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board as well as a clothes line in the backyard.

CAVENDISH APARTMENT

Kitchen is equiped with refrigertor, cooktop, rangehood, microwave and a toaster and toster oven.

Laundry in the guest house is available to guests in the apartment
