Description
The Beach Shack is a fabulous home for families to have a relaxing break. For the fishing enthusiasts the beautiful Elliott River is within walking distance. The safe surfing, sandy beach is just a short walk or bike ride along the coastal strip. For the sporting enthusiasts Elliott Heads often provides great conditions for kite and wind surfing or even spear fishing off the rocks. The river is also perfect for the canoe / kayak paddle down the river.
The Beach Shack is 'home away from home' with many of your creature comforts. The fully fenced grassed yard is great for the kids to play in and soak up the sea air with a game of beach cricket. Pets are welcome.
After a day fishing or swimming, enjoy a BBQ and drinks on the deck that opens up from the lounge. After dinner have a soak in the bath, then enjoy watching a movie or choosing to play a board game with the family.
The Beach Shack has everything that you need. Elliot Heads has 2 general stores that you can pick up everyday groceries and fresh bread each day or fish and chips to enjoy sitting out over the headland.

Elliott Heads and the Local Surrounds
A short drive through the cane fields from Bundaberg and you reach the quiet relaxed seaside village of Elliott Heads. There are beautiful views as you set up for a picnic overlooking the Scenic Elliott River. As you follow the coast along you will be amazed by the beauty of the coastline as the waves lap the rocks below. A sandy, safe surf beach also exists. Explore and discover the marine life as you snorkel off the coast in and around the rock pools.
Bring the bikes up and you can ride up and down the coastline admiring the views or enjoy the leasurely stroll on foot.
The river abounds with activities. Kite and wind surfing are popular, along with jet skiing and fishing. Bring the canoe up or hire a kayak and explore the surrounds.
Golf courses are in abundance around the area, with Coral Cove being only minutes drive away.
Elliott Heads is a perfect base for exploring the start of the Barrier Reef. The shoreline is part of the Woongarra National Park and is perfect for those that enjoy diving. Barolin Rocks and the Cochrane Artificial Reef are only 2 and a half miles off shore.
Seeing the turtles during hatching season at Mon Repos is something not to be missed. You will be amazed and mystified by these magnificent creatures.
