A ninety minute drive from Sydney takes you to Patonga. You can also get there by ferry from Palm Beach. A five minute row and you are at Serendipity. Five minutes later you are on the balcony and the cares of the world wash away. Ideal for up to four people. New comfy king size bed overlooking the water plus two singles. Original seventies furniture! A private retreat. Meet and greet is an optional extra run by a local business.

  • "Serendipity was lovely and quiet in the winter. We basked in the sun on the verandah and fed the birds by hand. Plenty to do inside and outside for adults and kids. Very comfy especially the bed with a view of the water and mangroves. Rowing in the wind was a part of the adventure. Great escape from the city! Bev"

  • "This was an excellent place to getaway to for the weekend. The house is a lovely and elevated so the breeze can flow through, the balcony has a great view and the caretaker was very helpful. We took the canoe up the river and walked around some of the beaches, but mostly relaxed on the balcony and enjoyed the serenity. Highly recommended."

  • "It was a wonderful surprise and we enjoyed every minute of it. My boyfriend loves Kayaking so was in his element, and the wildlife there was amazing! It was a bit disconcerting the first time about 20 Kookaburras, lorrakeets and a massive wild turkey came over to intently watch me eat my lunch on the verranda, but it was cool at the same time. :) "
