Comments from guests

"This house was absolutely incredible. From the minute we walked into the house we felt totally relaxed and calm. The silence of the region plus the comfort of all the decor was gorgeous. We spent most of our time either watching the gorgeous fireplace roaring with heat, or sitting out watching the world go by. Thank you so much for our time there - everyone agreed that we WILL be back again!!"

"We had a brilliant time down at Charleson Farm for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Our 3 kids loved the place and the room outside to run around, and also quite enjoyed chasing the roos and helping with the fire duties. While we felt completely isolated (which is what we wanted), there were plenty of great food and wine places within 15-20 minutes to satisfy all our needs. Currently working out when our next trip to Charleson will be. Thanks - it was just brilliant."

"Our weekend was fantastic, we can not say enough about the gorgeous house and for thinking of all the little things needed but often forgotten. We had an amazing time with all the tired and frazzled mothers leaving yesterday feeling revived and a little sore from the laughter and warm with memories that we will keep with us for a long time. It really was a special weekend."

"Charleson Farm was very nice ... the perfect place for families who want total seclusion. The kangaroos came right up to the house almost every day."

"WOW that was great holiday even though we were rained in, we still went walking in the rain and dried by the beautiful fireplace! We definitely plan to come and stay again - it is hard to find such a nice house that fits all my siblings in it!!"

"The house is fantastic for a group weekend away, with all quarters very well designed – it was just what we all needed. Kids were entertained, whilst in the next room we grown ups could have grown up time! We would definitely recommend to our friends and look forward to coming back in the near future."

  • "This is my second visit to Charleston Farm and it will most certainly not be my last. This place is amazing !! Set on beautiful country side, this place just is everything that you could want or need for your country get away. A beautiful house with the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Gorgeous warm log fire to keep you warm on those cold nights. If its a relaxing weekend away with your family or a group of friends where you can cook up a storm in the kitchen or watch the sun rise, gaze at the stars, watch the kangaroos jump by or sit back with a glass of wine and take it all in this is the place for you. When it comes to relaxing getaways in the country, we will never go anywhere else. I cannot recommend this house more highly and anyone who stays here will know exactly what I mean. So book your time off now, stay for a weekend or even a week !! Enjoy our beautiful Australian country side and relax at Charleston Farm. "

  • "A very relaxing stay. Beautifully presented with all you need to relax and enjoy away from the hussle of town. The towns nearby were a great place to visit for a coffee as well. The kids had a ball, riding, walking and playing games on the open spaces. Heating was great and beds were comfortable. Its very clean and we'll be back."

  • "Who would have thought a weekend away with 9 children under the age of 5 could be relaxing? The house is so well set out that the adults were able to enjoy quality time relaxing together while the children happily played in the games room or outside. Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Trip to Lorne was fun and the kids enjoyed the beach even though it was 11 degrees and raining! Winchelsea larder is not worth the drive - poor service and only ok food. Otherwise a very enjoyable weekend."

  • "A beautiful, spacious, well equipped and warm retreat. Magnificent outlook from all rooms. A haven for children needing open spaces whilst still having the option of many indoor activities. 9 adults and 6 children left with very special memories. "

  • ""WOW what a niceplace" was the first impression i got when i stepped inside. This place really had it all, there wasnt anything we neeeded that we couldn't find. • "If you are looking for a quiet place for a large group to relax, then go no further than Charleson Farm. We are a group of families totaling 18, and every year we have a weekend away together. The farm has everything, lots of games, DVD's x-box and games, trampoline, swings, a games room, books. In fact, this is the first time in all the years we have been having these weekends away, that we didn't even find the need to leave and go for a drive or look for something in the area to do. The farm catered for all our needs. Beautiful rooms with plenty of space, inside and out. Well set out with a lot of thought put into our arrival - fire already lit, place nice and warm etc. Thanks for a wonderful stay. "
