"A far cry from the chintzy style you might expect in the Blue Mountains" SMH Weekends Away Nov 13 2010.

Our Katoomba Flat is a recently restored 1950s holiday flat one block from The 3 Sisters, Echo Point and the Prince Henry Cliff Walk.

It has polished hardwood floors, a restored kitchen and bathroom and Mid 20th Century Modern details and furnishings. Sun fills the space during the daytime and a beautiful 'Eco Smart' open fireplace keeps it cosy in the evening.

Facilities/ Entertainment

The Flat has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. There is also a substantial rollaway single bed that can be placed in any of the rooms. All the beds have new high quality mattresses and linen.

For weekend chefs the kitchen is well equiped.

There are two flat screen TVs, (lounge and 2nd bedroom) DVD, Video and CD players, turntable and iPod dock as well as a wide selection of games, books, music and movies.

Other: hairdryer, iron, washing machine, dryer, heaters in every room, linen and towels provided, coffee and tea.

No Pets or Smoking are allowed inside the flat.

Our Favourite Things To Do

You know all about the Blue Mountains and the many attractions... This is what we like to do when we stay.

Take a 30 minute bush walk to Solitary Restaurant for lunch in the cafe.
Watch the sun set on the 3 Sisters after all the tourists have left for the day.
Drink cups of tea on the front step in the morning sun.
Enjoy wine and cheese on the front step in the late afternoon before moving in to enjoy the open fire.
Explore the many different restaurants and cafes of Katoomba (our recommendations are on record at the flat)
Shop for 'bric a brac' in the countless second hand shops of Katoomba, Leura and Blackheath.

  • "Our Katoomba Flat is a great little unit to base yourself in the Blue Mountains. It is clean, comfortable and well furnished and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. We unfortunately didn't experience very good weather, but the extra time we were forced to stay in the apartment was fine - there were a few entertainment options (DVDs, board games) and it's a very comfortable place to be. Not 5-star luxury with views out over the valleys, but a perfectly nice to play to stay for a few days."

  • "We had a lovely time in your Katoomba flat. The beds and flat were comfy and warm, our daughters (5 and 7) had a ball. We all enjoyed the DVDs (included some of my favourites)My husband enjoyed the records and was inspired to re-decorate our house. Everything was tasteful and beautifully done. The location was great - an easy walk to echo point and the 3 sisters. Just wonderful! "

A home away from home in a fantastic location with Katoomba's best walks right at your doorstep and the iconic Three Sisters literally outside your door! Plush comfy beds, the modern fireplace, the abundance of cool coffee table books and videos and DVD's,the turntables and great collection of records - Hunters and Collectors for entree, Dusty Springfield for main and Sinatra for dessert - the deep enamel bathtub, and the well equipped kitchen all made this place a perfect retreat for the weekend....we didn't want to leave! We'll be back no doubt!!"

The Deco cottage is absolutely stunning and the owners have catered for guests every need from cooking through to entertainment be it music, film or reading matter. On top of all this the location is perfect, on an idyllic residential street, just minutes walk from the stunning Three Sisters. We hope to return with friends later in the year. A perfect Blue Mountains getaway!"
