Fraser Island
Fraser Island is strictly 4wd territory. You can BYO [permit required from NPWS] or hire from Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach.
Fraser Island is a National Park and your domestic pets are not permitted on the island.
Fraser Island is a remote destination, and ready access to medical assistance is difficult. Access to other services such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc. is also very limited.
The resort at Happy Valley has a shop/convenience store which has a limited range of fresh and frozen food and groceries.
Saturday nights are not available unless in a 2-week or combination booking.

We had a wonderful 5 days. The house has a warm and inviting feel to it - more like a comfortable family home than a rental. Added personal touches of toys and games, an excellent library and superbly well equipped kitchen all made for the best family holiday we have had for many, many years. Thank you.

Great size beautiful home with lots of room for the whole family with parents retreat upstairs.We enjoyed the many extras this home offered including books and games.Not to far from all our favourite spots on Fraser.We are looking forward to going back there next year.

The house is really nice, probably the nicest on the island. Everything was clean and great and big. Thankyou for a great stay even though uit was raining and we left early but the house was great and will definently stay again.

We wanted an adventure holiday to show some family from the UK and that was child friendly. Kristies was the perfect solution! The weather was beautiful, the house so well appointed and perfect for two families to live together for 10 days. The boys caught tailor, flathead, dart & a shovel nose shark!! The mum's even got an amazing massage at the resort squeezed in.
May Kristie's spirit live on - it's a very special place. We'll be back every few years I'm sure.

Leather lounges, chef's kitchen, 3 decks. Fantastic. Traveled the whole island, then ended up catching 12 Dart and 14 whiting on the beach in front of the house. Met great people in neighbouring houses. Thanks.

kristies has every thing you need with great veranders. it rained one day of our stay but this was not a problem because we had lots of room.had a great time caught lots for fish and the kids loved the beach and lakes.recommend kristies to our friends

Facilities are 1st class, everything you could wish for a family holiday. Beautiful views, cool fresh breezes, well equipped kitchen, had everything. Thankyou Kristies for making our holiday perfect.
