Description

VAINUI is a beautiful well-appointed lakefront home located in a secluded and sheltered bay of Smiths Lake, about 3 hours from Sydney. Smiths Lake is one of the three lakes that comprise The Lakes District. It is private and tranquil, nestled between lofty gums that are alive with birdlife.

Facilities

There are four bedroom and two bathrooms within this architect designed home. 8 adults can be comfortably accommodated.

The master bedroom on the upper level features a king size bed, large walk-in robe and ensuite bathroom with a bath and separate shower. An open plan living/dining area and a modern and fully equipped kitchen are also on the upper level.

The lower level features three double bedrooms (two bedrooms with queen beds, one with two singles) bathroom, laundry and a living area with a second television, computer/internet and fax facilities.

Each room opens up onto a verandah. On the upstairs verandah is a BBQ and outdoor setting. We highly recommend relaxing with a good bottle of wine while watching the sun disappear over the lake.
Vainui is ideal for enjoying safe swimming, kayaking, water skiing and windsurfing. The lake is just a short stroll down through the garden.

Wind down instructions

There are many beautiful areas to explore in the area. Cellito is the closest ocean beach to Vainui. It is a short drive north, off The Lakes Way. This pristine beach is revealed in all its splendour after a short boardwalk through rainforest. Blueys, Elizabeth and Boomerang Beaches, are further few minutes drive north, while the idyllic fishing village of Seal Rocks is south.
A 31 nine hold golf course is adjacent to Cellito beach. You are welcome to use the golf clubs we provide for our guests.
The local butcher supplies great steaks for the BBQ. You can decide if you would like to share your meat with the kookaburras! On a rainy day, pop on a DVD or enjoy one of the many board games, puzzles and books you’ll find on the shelves. Start your day with a cup of freshly brewed coffee from the coffee maker.

The village of Smiths Lake provides all day-to-day requirements, with an excellent butcher, bakery, grocery/corner store, beauty salon, takeaway and liquor store. The popular Frothy Coffee Boathouse is further down Amaroo Drive where you can hire a boat or enjoy a coffee or lunch. There is also a playground for children. Forster has many and varied restaurants and is about a 20 minute drive north.
