Guest Reviews

  • "We took the whole family down, 2 small kids,2 parents and 2 grandparents. We had a great time staying at Scots Hut. The kids loved the swing and sadpit and chasing each other around the wrap around verandah. Every day we walked down the lane to find the sheep and cows and loved following the chooks around the garden. There was plenty of room for all six of us. The accommodation was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We all had a great time and will definately go and stay at Scots Hut again."

  • "The house was very well fitted out and very comfortable, and it had a really good atmosphere. A real sense of being in the country with animals around. Scot's Hut is very restful and the veranda gives a really pleasant place to sit and enjoy the country life. The fenced space around the house was just great for the dogs. "

  • "excellent property, beautiful house. immaculately clean and every conceivable utensil that one might require in a household kitchen. very peaceful area, and so quiet. would rate this 11 out of 10."

  • "It was great to get out of the suburbs and arrive at Scots Hut. My first impression was the lovely rural setting and gardens. The house was historically charming, I felt like someone had wound back the clock and I was in another era. The house was very comfortable, a mix of old and new, with everything I needed. I enjoyed the peace and quiet and the sounds of the many birds and farm animals (a change from the suburbs I must say). I loved sitting on the day bed on the verandah whilst enjoying a plunger coffee reading a book. I was pleasantly surprised to see kangaroos and a huge variety of native birds. This 2 day break was just what I needed to recharge!!!"

  • "My Mum and my two pups, Buffy and Felix, had a wonderful stay at Scot's Hut recently. It's an incredibly relaxing property but also has all the mod cons we come to expect. Scot's Hut is perfectly positioned to enjoy a complete private getaway on a very pretty property or to visit some of the local attractions. We visited Merimbula beach twice during our brief stay. I'd strongly recommend Scot's Hut to anyone really - it's well equipped for all (singles, couples, groups of friends, families, children and especially dogs! This is a property where your dog is genuinely welcomed."

  • "Staying at Scot's Hut for a week was a wonderful and relaxing experience. With fresh eggs each morning, and numerous places to take our dog for a leash free walk made this holiday very memorable. The hut is so cosy and beautiful in its decor. The two fire places gives the hut such warmth, and Cassandra made us feel right at home. I was able to go down and fed the sheep and give one lamb its bottle. We will definetly return to scot's hut in the future, we had an absolute ball! "

  • "Absolutely stunning house and property, breathtaking views and beautiful ambience. Will definitely return, next time a more lengthy stay :)"

  • "FABULOUS!! This is just one way to describe Scots Hut. We are a family of 4 (kids ages 12 & 4) plus my sister who visited from the US. The whole place exuded warmth and serenity. It was a home away from home plus more. The children enjoyed gathering fresh eggs every morning. The many trips to the beach was nice, no one cared about the distance. Cassandra and (sorry I can't remember the other very nice lady's name) were very gracious and helpful. We would love to stay there again and we would definitely recommend Scots Hut to anyone."

  • "Scots Hut is everything you would expect in superior holiday accommodation and a lot more! Our family enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful annual holiday together in luxurious surroundings which were only augmented by the hospitality of Cassandra and Elspeth. We will certainly plan on returning in the future and would strongly recommend a visit to those who have not yet had the pleasure! "
