Be part of living history by staying at the historic Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse. The three heritage cottages, previously used by the lighthouse keepers, have been beautifully restored by NPWS and reflect the integrity of their historic significance. Warm timbers and soft furnishings enhance a romantic atmosphere.
The Head Keeper's cottage has 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 to 8 and a designer commercial kitchen. Lighthouse Beach, Sawtooth and Seal Rocks can be seen from the internal viewing area.
The 2 Assistant Keepers' Cottages have two bedrooms each, sleeping 4 to 6. Views along Lighthouse Beach, dunes and bushland of Myall Lakes National Park can be seen from the glass breezeways.
The pristine waters of Seal Rocks offer clear bays for swimming, snorkelling, diving, boating and fishing.
Be amazed at the awesome Light at night with its 16 rotating beams, scanning the horizon.
Surfers can experience the well known Lighthouse and Treachery beaches and the break at No. 1 Beach.
Divers will wonder at the significant Seal Rocks site, discovering shipwrecks and a grey nurse shark habitat.
Amble along the beaches and bush trails in Myall Lakes National Park.
Nearby are cafes, galleries, vineyards and restaurants for you to explore.
Forster offers a variety of shops, cinema and restaurants, just 40 minutes away.
The sleepy fishing village of Seal Rocks is approximately 1.5 hours north of Newcastle, 3.5 hours north of Sydney and 2 hours south of Port Macquarie. To access the lighthouse from the south, turn off the Pacific Highway 2kms north of Bulahdelah on to The Lakes Way. At Bungwahl, take the Seal Rocks Road, continue the 11 kms to the end to arrive at the Lighthouse gate.
