Venus Bay

Venus Bay is a small coastal settlement, nestled in vegetated sand dunes that back onto the wild waters and golden sands of the Bass Strait coastline. Close to the township, there are five superb surf beaches that are patrolled by surf lifesavers in the summer months, as well as the state's longest sand spit at Anderson Inlet, where you can find safe, sheltered beaches ideal for families and swimming. The coastline from Venus Bay to Cape Liptrap offers visitors the chance to see an old lighthouse and native Australian plants and wildlife.

Venus Bay is central to many natural attractions in the South Gippsland area, including Wilsons Promontory National Park, which is just under an hour's drive east.

  • "Our stay at Life's a beach was very relaxing and peaceful. The house is great and is suitable for all ages. We really enjoyed Venus Bay's beautiful beaches and sunsets. "

  • "My daughter, son, dog and myself spent Cup weekend at Venus Bay in Black Ave. We all loved the well equiped, neat and well-kept house; the close proximity to the beach; near enough to the shops but remote enough for peace. For two teenagers to enjoy the place and house is definetely saying something positive about both. I will be coming back, preferably during hotter weather next time for a different experience at Venus Bay and recommend anyone thinking of renting at Venus Bay to do so. We all (especially Ruby - the dog) loved it and will be back. Leisl"
