Looking for the ideal beach front property - look no further than Trelburys-on-the-Beach. It is a sparkling clean home used exclusively for holiday makers who are looking for peace, calmness, tranquility and a safe place for the kids. It is a 3 minute walk to Woolworths, local Tavern (great meals), Lake Cathie Bowling Club (try their baked dinners!), bakery, fish & chip shop (great for on the beach), coffee shop, pharmacy, post office, newsagent - you get the idea! Close to everything to make your stay a delight. Sleeping accommodation: Upstairs are two bedrooms with 1 x Queen size bed and 1 x double bed. Downstairs is a massive bedroom with another Queens size bed and a double bunk, with a mile of cupboard space. There is a monstrous size timber laminate floor rumpus room for the kids, complete with their own video, TV etc. THE ONLY THING NOT SUPPLIED IS YOUR LINEN SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PACK THESE ITEMS. There are pillows and doonas but you will need your own sheets, pillow cases, and towels.
Family Friendly - safe - secure and plenty to do nearby!
There is the normal home entertainment available, video, DVD (2), colour televisions (2), etc. A cross selection of video tapes, CD's are also supplied.
At the front of the house (upstairs), is the massive verandah/whale watching platform, which has a large timber (seating for 8) setting. There is a gas BBQ and a secured back yard for the young ones. There is parking on the property for 2-3 cars as well as a boat.
What is particularly impressive about Lake Cathie is that it has both an ocean beach frontage as well as Lake Cathie which is a safe haven for swimming. So you can choose to swim either at the ocean beach, or at the lake!
The kitchen has all the usual features, including microwave, large refrigerator, all your cooking utensils and table setting for 8 persons.
What to do! (and where is Lake Cathie?)
Lake Cathie (pronounced "cat-eye") is on the Sydney side of Port Macquarie. "Port" as the locals refer to it is around 20 minutes drive - Port has all the upmarket restaurants and tourist facilities. Going south from Trelburys along on Ocean Drive, you can visit the sleepy but beautiful seaside towns of Camden Haven, Dunboggin and Laurieton (the Thai restaurant is a good meal and good value!)
The drive from Sydney takes around 3.5 hours as the new highway development make driving a pleasure!
Our beach front home is also very popular with residents from the Newcastle area who find it within easy reach.

Perfect house and location for family with teenagers! The bast time of day was twilight BBQ on the deck. And teens had their own living space so adults could enjoy the peace. Loved it!

We had a wonderful relaxing holiday at Trelbury's, enjoying the spectacular view, fresh jewfish, whiting and flathead caught off the beach right out the front and wealth of local estuaries to explore. The house is well equiped with everything we needed. We highly recommend it!

We loved our stay... Very relaxing watching the dolphins go by while we bbq'd garlic prawns and had sunset sips on the large verandah. Our teenager loved having his own area to hang out in down stairs with tv, bathroom etc.

The holiday and house were wonderful. It was really very atmospheric playing Pink Floyd and Tangerine Dream on the balcony at night watching the waves roll on in and playing Bach's second Brandenburg Concerto and Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez in the morning whilst having breakfast on the balcony. All very calming and atmospheric. Everything you could need to stay at the house was available within a 5 minute walk. I know that we will be
looking at it again next year.

We had a lovely time at Lake Cathie. The accommodation was perfect being accross the beach and with Woolworths just down the road. The deck with the huge table and barbie facilities made it sociale, enjoyable with a perfect view over the ocean. Sunrise with a cuppa gave it a perfect setting for the rest of the day. Defenitely recommended.

The most amazing views and so close to the beach. The children had a fantastic time and the dog was very happy. The children were in bed early exhausted from the sea air.
Not far to Port Macquarie and the shops are just around the corner. We will definately return.

The house was in an excellent position being close to the beach and the supermarket. We actually saw some dolphins from the balcony. It was great that the kids had their own area downstairs and the dogs had a great time on the beach.

What a beautiful position. We had a lovely time staying at Trelbury's. The 2 comfortable lounges are perfect for your morning coffee while the dolphins dance in the water. The children enjoyed walking on the beach. Very short walk to the supermarket, and only about 15 minutes up a fast road to Port Macquarie.
It was a little cold at the time of our stay but there were plenty of blankets at night. The Kitchen is very well organised with plenty of glasses etc.
The house had everything that was needed.

We enjoyed our week up at Trelburys. The view from the deck is great and it was nice being able to run our dogs on the beach morning and night.
