Wavestation is ideally situated 45 kilometers south of Hobart over looking the water towards Bruny Island.

This is a wonderful location because it is very central to many wonderful places in Southern Tasmania. You can visit Hobart for the day, possibly on a Saturday to the Salamanca market, catch the car ferry to Bruny Island at Kettering which is 10 minutes away, cross the neck to see magnificent Adventure Bay and the lighthouse and come home to relax in complete privacy. This is like your own home. plenty of space to explore the garden and the woods adjacent. Study the birdlife and relax on the protected verandah watching the boats sail by. Walk along the quiet beach road. The secluded location ensures a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Plenty of outside space including a gazebo to enjoy an afternoon drink and evening barbeque.
Discover southern Tasmania, the waterways, orchards and magnificent vistas from the hills behisnd. Visit nearby Peppermint Grove Hotel to enjoy music, food and local life. Flerty's restaurant is nearby. A general store is well stocked and a enjoyable five minute walk away.
Drive to Cockle Creek the southern most tip of Australia.
Enjoy boutique cheeseries and local produce. Take the road from Woodbridge to Cygnet and have lunch at the Red Velvet lounge.There is boatbuilding at Franklin and the walkway in the trees in the Tarkine Valley.
