You will have this recently refurbished beach house all to yourself, in a quiet corner of southern Tasmania. About an hour's drive south from Hobart.

Ebb Tide Guest House is the peaceful, self-contained retreat you're yearning for, set on a promontory between the mouth of the Huon River and the small beach at Eggs and Bacon Bay. The three beaches nearby are so quiet you will often have them to yourself.
Swim, walk, fish, or bring the kayak and the windsurfer and spend the day on the water.
Later, when you emerge from the spa, take a glass of wine out onto the huge deck to watch the sun set over the sea before heading off to sleep in beautiful, quality bedlinen.
Or in winter, snuggle in with a cuppa, a throw rug and a book or magazine from the eclectic range on the shelves. Rediscover board games, cards and jigsaw puzzles. Or spend the weekend with your feet up, watching DVDs by the wood-burning heater.
Eggs and Bacon Bay is a quiet hamlet - a few houses and holiday houses, no shop, no school. There is no through-traffic. Just peace.
Whenever possible, we offer early arrival and late departure times.
The house
The cedar weatherboard cottage is set in an established half-acre garden. The stylish interiors in tones of blue and sand reflect the beachside location. Clean lines, no clutter.
Floorboards gleam in the living areas, with a mix of lovely timber furniture and sofas you can comfortably spend the day on.
There are 3 bedrooms, the main with a queen bed and the other two with bunks and trundle, all with quality inner-spring mattresses. Spacious for 6 people, cosy for 8.
In the kitchen you'll find elegant glassware and china to make any meal feel special.
The main bathroom has a spa bath and shower. There is a second bathroom with shower.
If you can tear yourself away from the peace and quiet, it is only a fifteen minute drive to Cygnet with its wonderful cafes, art galleries and shops.
Nearby destinations & attractions include: Hastings Caves, Hartz Mountains, Bruny Island (including the great Bruny Island Charter cruises), Huonville Jetboats, Peppermint Bay restaurant and the Tahune Airwalk.
