Valley View Cottage is situated @ Parla Gully Country Retreat which is a 200 acre farm on the fringe of the beautiful Otway Ranges and only 20 mins from Aireys Inlet, Anglesea and the fabulous Great Ocean Road. Soak up the sun on the sandy beaches of Torquay, Anglesea or Aireys Inlet in the summer months and come home to a fully self contained peaceful haven. Wake to exclusive views to the north along the Wormbete Creek valley and the quiet countryside with grazing sheep and not house or car to be seen.

Enjoy the pleasures of rural lifestyle, take a walk in the Great Otway National Park or bring a horse or bike and ride through the Otway Forest Park at our very own back gate.

Valley View Cottage is now available for bookings, and offers a slightly more compact version of Grandview Lodge for those not requiring a full sized house. Bookings can be arranged for both the cottage and the lodge catering for groups of around 10 or more people with enough room for everyone to get together at Grand Veiw for special occasions. Perhaps even a wedding or that special birthday?

Grand View Lodge

Grand View Lodge truly lives up to the name with 270 degree panoramic views from the Great Otway National Park to the Western Plains, Mount Buninyong (near Ballarat) and beyond. Built to take in the best the area has to offer and all the comforts of home and more. This large cottage is set in almost 1 acre of gardens and lawn. Grand View is brimming with cottage character but also plenty of luxury and space built in. Not to mention the two upper level balconies and the huge north facing sundeck that draws you out to see the world.

Both Grand View Lodge and Valley View Cottage have plenty of space and are a fully self contained. Spacious rooms and living areas with ground and first floor bedrooms, balconies. sunny decks, stunning rural views and privacy make Parla Gully a truly great place to stay.

The bathrooms have large corner spas designed for two, it's a lovely place to sit back, relax and unwind after an enjoyable day at the many nearby beaches or after a day trip along the Great Ocean Road.

The spa at Grand View Lodge has views over the Otway foothills that make it a fantastic place to spend hours at any time of the day! Nothing compares to sitting is a lovely spa with a glass of wine looking out the window as the sun sets over the bushland horizon!

Each cottage has fully equipped kitchens with dishwashers, fan forced electric ovens, cook tops, full size fridge freezer and microwave ovens.

Grand View has a gourmet kitchen with a classic wood fired stove together with a double electric oven and 900mm gas cook top. In the cooler months the wood stove warms the whole room and can cook a fantastic roast that leaves conventional ovens way behind. This cottage is ideally suited to a couple looking for a romantic getaway, two couples or a small family wanting a great place to stay within a reasonable distance of the coast. Two bedrooms, with a quality sofa bed in the lounge if needed..

Valley View Cottage is a slightly more compact version of Grand View sharing many of the same luxury features and also has beautiful rural views along the Wormbete Creek Valley and the northern plains. It too has two bedrooms and can sleep six (4) guests making it ideal for couples and smaller families. This cottage is also wheelchair friendly with wide doors and easy bathroom/shower access.

Parla Gully is ideal for anyone wanting to get away from the rest of the world for a quiet holiday in a peaceful rural setting.

For those wanting something more there is the Great Otway National Park and Forest Parks right at our very back gate. The Forest Parks offer a range of uses including horse riding, trail bike riding and tours, mountain bike riding and bushwalking.

If the bush isn't for you it's only a 20 minute drive to the fabulous swimming and surf beaches of Aireys Inlet, Anglesea and a little more to Lorne. Parla Gully is also an ideal place to stay if you are planning on touring the Great Ocean Road to see the wonders of this famous coastline.
