Black Rock Retreat is perched 100 meters about sea livel offering beautiful rural surroundings with unsurpassed sea views of the northern coast line of Tasmania. It is within easy traveling distance from the two main coastal towns of Burnie (10 min east) and Devonport (35 mins west).
Black Rock Retreat looks down on the ocean were some of the earliest settlers first came ashore. They used "the black rock", which can be seen at low tide, as their land jetty.
Black Rock Retreat offers intimate and private designer accommodation for up to four people with a full breakfast provided. Lie in bed and admire the sunrise, or watch the eagles ride the updrafts or have a sip of Tasmanian wine in the spa. Enjoy a massage with our fully qualified masseur who is available upon request. The deck provides a good viewing platform for farm animals or in the evening, maybe catch a sight of some native wildlife.
Black Rock Retreat is also offered as a mini conference or workshop centre for up to 12 people. morning and afternoon tea and lunches can be provided upon request.
