Description
Longstaff 9 is a contempory designed 2.5 bedroom Eco Cabin lightly sitting in the bush. Just off the main beach road the surrounds are safe and quiet, away from bike and buggy traffic. You may be visited by an island wallaby grazing just below the verandah or catch a glimpse of a tawny frogmouth owl sittng serenely in a nearby tree.
The cabin sleeps 6 comfortably. It has a north facing screened verandah providing a wonderful outside room for barbeque and dining. An open planned ventilated high ceiling living area is ideal for summer with a gas heater for cosy winter evenings.
The Longstaff group of cabins are the closest to Resort facilities. A short boardwalk through a rare Livistonia Palm forest or a 2 minute bike ride, will take you to the pool, bike shed, kites kids club and sports facilities. Available are tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, gymnasium, golf putting, lawn bowls and playground.
Meals can prepared in the fully appointed cabin kitchen. The resort store is 100metres walk away. Alternativly as a guest of Longstaff 9 you have access to all resort facilities including the cafes and a la carte restaurant.
Watersports, jet ski, catamaran and kayaking hire can be arranged through the resort front desk. The enviromental centre runs tours and walks. The nocturnal and astonomy tour are a must and enjoyed by children and adults.
The ocean beach is a 1 km bike ride away. A perfect way to start your day is to ride to the beach for a morning walk, swim or surf.
HOW TO GET THERE
Island Transfer : Couran Cove Resort Ferry services depart regularly from the ferry terminal at JOHN LUND DRIVE HOPE HARBOUR. Return transfers $125.00 per family or $47 adult $25.00 children.
Airport Transfers: Transfer can be arranged from Coolangatta and Brisbane Airports to the Couran Cove Resort Ferry Terminal.
Arriving by car: Secure parking is available at the terminal at Hope Harbour Marina. Charges of $5.00 per day or maximum of $25.00 per stay.
Arriving by boat: Marina berthing is available for guests at no extra cost.
Baggage Handling: Baggage is checked in at the terminal and delivered to your cabin.
