Located in Victoria's beautiful high country Buttercup Cottage was established in 1998.
This beautifully appointed stone cottage, which sleeps four people, provides absolute privacy without the pressures or noise of the city. Relax in the corner spa, curl up in front of the wood fire in winter or laze around on the wide verandahs at other times or the year enjoying the scenery, the quiet and stunning sunsets. The well appointed kitchen, including dishwasher, means you can hibernate away and cater for yourselves if you wish.
Satellite television, video recorder and CD stereo system are all provided for your convenience. ireless internet available.
The apartment opened in 1990 providing guests with lovely accommodation including corner spa, wood fire, air conditioning, spacious deck on which to spend your afternoons or cook and eat a barbecue meal. Sleeping up to four people guests have exclusive use of the apartment which offers two bedrooms and well appointed kitchen. Satellite television and video recorder with selection of tapes is included. Wireless iinternet available.
Nearby is horse riding, the delightful Delatite River for fishing, an hotel for an excellent country counter meal, and access to Mts Buller and Stirling, both well known for their winter snow skiing and off season, walking, bike riding, wild flowers and stunning views of the Great Divide. Clear Hills on Mt Stirling is the home of the last remaining film set from the Man From Snowy River Movies, Craigs Hut. We can organise four wheel drive tours for you between November and May.

Please note minimum nights apply on weekends and public holidays. Normal weekends - 2 nights; long weekends - three nights; Easter - 4 nights; Cup weekend - 4 nights; Boxing Day to New Year's - five nights.
Please note pets are not allowed at Buttercup. We can help with contact details of our local kennels and cattery.

Location

From the eastern and southern suburbs of Melbourne take the Maroondah Highway to Coldstream, the Melba Highway to Yea and then follow the signs to Mansfield.
From the northern suburbs take the Hume Freeway to the Woodstock cross road. Turn right and continue as far as the Yan Yean roundabout. Turn left to Whittlesea and follow the signs to Yea and on to Mansfield.
From the western suburbs take the Western Ring Road to the Hume Freeway and follow the directions above as for the northern suburbs access.
By car we are 15 minutes to the east of Mansfield and easy to locate. Our satellite navigation position in metric is South and North .
(Unfortunately the only public transport is by V-Line bus from Melbourne to Mansfield.)
Once in Mansfield take the Mt Buller Rd out of town for 15 kms. At Buttercup Rd turn left for 3 kms. We are on the left hand side of Buttercup Rd. Youll see our sign on the nature strip.
As you proceed along the driveway it splits into three. Proceed straight ahead to the main house and reception where we will greet you and show you to your accommodation.

Ideally located 15 minutes from shops, cinema, pool, golf course, zoo etc, five minutes from local hotel and river, horse riding, bush walking, fishing etc. 20 minutes from the base of two mountains Mt Buller and Mt Stirling for bush walking, photography, painting etc. 25 minutes from Lake Eildon for boating, fishing.
