Our 4 star self-catered eco-cottages, bush apartments and multi-purpose function room are nestled in a lakeside forest just 3km drive to perfect beaches. We were winners of the 2010 NSW South Coast Tourism gold award for Unique Accommodation. On site you can explore our 36 acres of lawns, forests and bushwalks as well the adjacent lakeside reserve.. From that pristine reserve you can kayak on the lake, up its glady creeks or to the beach. Or instead of activity you can just sit back and relax on your veranda.

Our cottages are ranked below from cheapest to dearest. The tariff for 2# in the cheapest is given a index of 1.00 and the dearest an index of 1.78 to indicate the differences in price.

Tariffs quoted on this Stayz site can be only for 1 property and are for 2 people in our smallest most economical cottage (tariff index =1.00 above) . Kookaburra costs 1.78 times quoted tariff. When this website shows availability there may only be 1 cottage available.

Stuff to do
Only a few minutes drive away is the first of the many excellent local beaches stretching from Meroo National Park to our north, past Bawley Point to Pretty Beach and the Murramarang National Park. The most common local activities are bush/beachwalking, swimming, surfing, fishing, snorkelling and diving. The bush and beach walks in the nearby National Parks are as good as anywhere in Australia.
The local region boasts a number of excellent art galleries, horseriding and 2 wineries (that offer cellar door sales), specialty farms as well as excellent restaurants and cafes.
The nearby Clyde River hinterland (includes the Budawangs, Pigeon House Mt, Moreton National Park) is a perfect area for drives, walks and picnics.
When weather is unsuitable for beach recreation entertainment opportunities for children include Birdland at Batemans Bay, the Mogo Zoo (a real exotic animal zoo) and Timezone at Ulladulla. There are picture theatres at both Batemans Bay and Ulladulla. For adults, there are 27 hole golf courses at both the Bay and Ulladulla.
Celebrations
While we are perfect for short breaks for couples and families, our retreat is also ideal for life-event celebrations such as weddings, major birthdays and family re-unions. Corporate retreats or seminars, exhibitions, or bodywork workshops etc can also be accommodated.
We call our function space the Cockatoo Room, a room that can be configured for a wide variety of uses for up to 80 (seated) people. The main space of 100sqm opens to an enclosable verandah of 45sqm and a covered breezeway of 30sqm. The building features hardwood and earthbrick construction, stained-glass feature windows, blackout curtains, timber floor, rising stage, a 12-plug mixing desk, microphones and speakers, TV/DVD, overhead projector, commercial standard kitchen and a kitchenette/servery. The Cockatoo Room is secluded with lawn, bush and lake views.
We do not directly cater for Cockatoo Room events. Like our cottages it is designed for self catering though we expect that most of our guests will hire external caterers for their event.
