Remember when holidays were simple...?
At 21 Boulder Bay Rd.....
Ditch the car....its only a 5 minute walk to beautiful Fingal Bay Beach....and grab the fish and chips....and perhaps a bottle of wine from the local shops!!
My little shack has just that laid back feel....back to basics but with everything you need for a happy holiday.
The cottage is open plan all freshly painted inside with polished floors.....ceiling fans for summer or oil heater for winter.
There are two good sized bedrooms one with a queen bed and the other one with a double bed. Both have huge built in wardrobes. There are two fold away beds with foam mattresses for children......though I have slept quite happily on one myself!
The kitchen is well equipped with electric range, microwave oven, large fridge, new benchtops and dishwasher.
The outside courtyard with a gas BBQ is the perfect place to kick back and relax with a nice cold glass.....and let the blokes do the cooking!
Beautiful Fingal Bay is one of only 2 patrolled surf beaches in this area and closest to Nelson and Shoal Bay. It is surrounded by the Tomaree National Park. A magnificent beach with an infamous walk across "the spit" to view the burnt out ruins of the outer lighthouse residence.
Explore Fingal Head and enjoy the views. There is some great fishing off the beach as well as the Headlands. Many a large jewfish has been landed off the spit.
Fingal Bay beach is very popular with surfers and is quite protected by the headland in the southern corner and open to the ocean swell further up the beach.
With so much to do you will need to come back!
....boating, swimming, fishing, snorkelling, horseriding, cycling, sailing, dolphin and whale watching cruises, 4WD safaris, golf, bushwalking, wine tasting.....
Take a ferry ride to Tea Gardens and watch the dolphins at play.....
Shop till you drop all over Port Stephens!
......or just kick back and relax. With the Hunter Valley wineries close by and an abundance of fresh seafood....what more could you want!
The Local Visitors Centre will set you in the right direction and is located at the overpass in Nelson Bay.
