Jetty

Description

The first Brighton Jetty was built in 1886. Extremely popular with fishermen and day trippers, it weathered the sea and storms for over 100 years. Over that time, its original T-shape was reduced to an L-shape, until finally it badly damaged in 1994. The new concrete Jetty was opened in 1996 and has become quite a landmark. Telstra’s telecommunications tower at the end is 25 metres tall and was designed to resemble a ship’s mast. Local artists have recently added their touch to the Jetty with 3 modern pieces of work, based on the elements of light, wind and water. An older landmark, the Arch of remembrance, stands in front of the Jetty. The original Arch was unveiled in a dedication service in 1926. It was damaged by storms in 1963 and rebuilt in 1964. On the Arch you’ll see the 114 names of those from Brighton area who served in World War 1, and the names of those who died.


Jetty is a premium townhouse over 3 levels with private lift access offering luxury accommodation and is fully furnished and self contained providing all the comforts of home. There are 2 living areas with large flat screen TV’s, an sleek ultra modern kitchen with huge gas oven and cook top, all modern European stainless steel appliances at your finger tips. Loads of cupboards filled with all the necessities of life, including everyday glasses, plates, platters, pots, pans and cooking utensils.

The spacious main bedroom suite is on level 3 with a king size bed, large walk through robes with an enormous bathroom with deep spa bath for relaxation.

On level 2 there are 2 other bedrooms all with built in robes, a queen size beds in one bedroom and 2 singles in the other. The main bathroom has a deep spa bath for relaxation. The living room has modern superior quality furniture and large screen TV with sound system. The ground level has more living areas with dining and kitchen and the laundry with 3rd toilet, washing machine and dryer, along with an outdoor patio to enjoy BBQ’s and sunshine. A double lock up garage completes the picture.

Location

Located on the Esplanade at Brighton Beach this luxurious townhouse is just a walk across the road to sandy beaches which are patrolled by the Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club. Directly opposite is the Brighton Jetty just waiting to take a stroll or enjoy a spot of fishing.

Jetty Road Brighton is only minutes away, with many trendy restaurants, cafes and shops to browse in, plus the hotel ‘Espy’ right next door. The supermarket and Brighton shopping centre is just nearby and the railway station a short walk. With the Adelaide CBD only 15 minutes away, international golf courses, Adelaide airport, AAMI Stadium, Glenelg Entertainment Precinct and SA wineries within an hour, this is the perfect base to explore and experience what South Australia has to offer whilst staying in the lap of luxury.

Accommodation rates

1st November 2009 to 2nd February 2009 - $550 per night - $3700 per week
2nd February to 1st May 2009 - $450 per night - $3000 per week
1st May 2009 to 26th September 2009 - $350 per night - $2300 per week.
26th September 2009 - 1st November 2009 - $350 per night - $2300 per week.

Cancellation Policy
The following cancellation fees will apply.

If you are able to inform us of your cancellation with more than thirty (30) days notice, your deposit will be refunded less a $50.00 accounting fee.

If notice is provided between thirty (30) days and not less than fifteen (15) days, 25% of the deposit* will be retained.

If less than fourteen (14) days and not less than seven (7)notice is given, 50% of the deposit* will be retained.

If cancellation notice is provided less than seven (7) days and up to one (1) day prior to the agreed check in date, 100% of the deposit* will be retained.

No cancellations are accepted on the day of arrival or after check in. You will be charged the total of the reserved stay under all circumstances.

Please note: * = The deposit is 50% of the agreed tariff on the full stay booked by the client.


Notification must be in writing either facsimile or email and confirmed delivery is the responsibility of the Guest.
