Set on 4 acres in the beautiful Hunter Valley of NSW, Abernethy House has everything you need for a break away with your friends or family, hidden away yet located only 2 hour's drive from Sydney. Great affordability for large group accommodation in the Hunter Valley.
Abernethy House is the perfect group accommodation venue - where booking the whole house will guarantee your exclusive use and privacy. in a lovely meandering garden setting. Your group will be together under one roof, enjoy the comforts of a heritage country estate. The guest house is in a small village, surrounded by national and state forest
. great for walking, but only 15 minutes from most vineyards in the Hunter Valley! Big comfortable lounge, with lots of comfy lounges and a fire place in winter and pool in summer! TV, DVD, videos, games all provided for your enjoyment. A large courtyard covered in grape leaves , is big enough to seat all guests in comfort. The upstairs 3 meters wide veranda's are great for sitting, reading, and just enjoying a glass of wine or two. All linen provided. All cooking utensils, basic ingredients, olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar is provided. You need only bring personal things, food and alcohol.
Abernethy House was originally a hotel, built in 1927. It has a wonderful history. In the late 1990s it was restored to recapture its original yesteryear appeal with the emphasis on guest comfort. There is an elegant dining room and spacious guest lounge with a fireplace for the winter months. A magnificent staircase leads you to the upstairs rooms.

The Hunter Valley is fabulous for weddings. Abernethy House is quiet and peaceful - the perfect place to relax and prepare for the big day. Nearby is Hunter Valley Gardens, St Patrics of Nulkaba, Pepper Creek Chappel, plus Catholic and Anglican churches.
Many wedding parties have stayed stay at Abernethy House and then travel 10 - 15 minutes to the ceremony and reception. Wedding parties love Abernethy House. It's quiet and peaceful - the perfect place to relax and prepare for the big day. There is room for all your close family and friends to stay and then enjoy the ceremony and reception at one of the great venues nearby Abernethy House.
A wedding is too big a celebration to hold over just one day. A wedding at Abernethy House can be spread over the whole weekend, enjoying your special time in relaxation, without time limits. With the guest house your own, prepare on Friday with an intimate dinner with family and friends, then after the wedding Abernethy house is the perfect place to host a recovery breakfast or lunch for an unforgettable recovery and farewell party before everyone starts to return home. Make it a long weekend, we have a great special!!!

Cost $1100- $1650.00, is per night is for up to 24 guests! All guests under one roof. Sole occupancy. Your home in the country and only 1/12 hours from Sydney. Enjoy a glass of wine on our verandas overlooking our gardens or sit in front of fire in the lounge in winter or pool in summer. Enjoy!
