Hawks Nest

Hawks Nest is one of the main gateways to Myall Lakes National Park, a network of interconnected lakes and rivers that is one of the most popular boating destinations in the country. These lakes are also superbly equipped for recreational boating and fishing.
The tranquility of this particular region and its proximity to many outstanding natural attractions has made it a favorite holiday destination for those wishing to escape city and suburban stress. Many holiday regulars return here year after year.

Things to do:

Look for koalas in the reserve along Kingfisher Avenue.
Walk to the top of Yacaaba Head, which guards the northern approach to Port Stephens – but be prepared for a tough climb.
Fishing in the lakes, the bay or out in the ocean.
Bird-watching on Myall Lakes
A long stroll on majestic Hawks Nest Beach.
Swimming, surfing, wind surfing, waterskiing, diving, canoeing
