  • "We had a really wonderful holiday at Alloway farm. The house and surrounds were even better than we had expected. Very clean with lovely wooden floors and modern kitchen. So much peace and quiet, space, bikeriding, rambling, games, wildlife and campfires to enjoy. Great value for money and highly recommended."

  • "We stayed here for a week, with New Years in the middle. We were lost for words when we walked in. The house was pristine, the KITCHEN, my goodness- even those of us who stayed who didn't like cooking, wanted to cook in there! MASSIVE stove/oven and fridge- commercial kitchen size. Also, for those who preferred a simple snag- a large BBQ was outside for them. The bedrooms were great, good linen, comfortable mattresses, (floor) oscillating fan in every room. Lounge rooms- made relaxing a breeze, super comfortable lounges. Plenty of reading material, Austar, etc. Outside- plenty of room for the 8 'adults' to play dodgeball, have the music up, and generally just have a good time, without annoying neighbours. I particularly enjoyed watching the many native birds feed/play in the yards. The hawks and eagles were a highlight- as were the friendly Magpies. Kangaroos would come right up to the house in the early morning and night- if you were quiet. Beaches not far away- 15min drive max. They suited everyone too- Seal rocks is perfect for not so confident swimmers/kids. Elizabeth Beach is great for those with more skill. Lakes nearby too, for walks/watersports. I couldn't recommend this place nearly enough. As others have said, too. The photos do not do it justice. Everyone loved their time here, would definitely come here again!"

  • "We love farmstays - and this is an excellent one! Alloway Farm is spacious, extremely comfortable, immaculately presented, private, picturesque and good value. It was close enough to the beach, lakes, a decent coffee and some shops, for us to feel like it was a great 'home base' -all within 15 mins. The property had some dams to explore and suggested bushwalk/mountain bikes from the house. It was just what we needed!"

  • "Alloway farm is a very beautiful and peaceful property. We had a lovely time building a fire sitting in the warm playing games. We went on some exciting walks on the property and to the little lake. This house is fully equipt with everything you need for a "Masterchef" competition which we had! The lovely owners were happy to help in everyway. Thank you for a great time for our four children and peaceful evenings for my husband and I"

  • "We had a great long weekend at Alloway Farm. The house is even nicer than the photos, and the owner was very helpful with directions and checking up on us to make sure we arrived safely. The quality of the furniture, bedding and kitchen were absolutely top notch and better than anywhere else we've stayed. The house is close to Smith's Lake and Boomerang/Blueys, and if you have time, Great Lakes Wines is also very good and worth a visit."

  • "Wonderful place to stay for peace & Serenity. It was our second time here and we will definetly be back again. Our family stayed with us for our 30th Wedding anniversary - 17, 19, 26, 27 and we all found plenty of things to keep us amused. That's the beauty of Alloway - do or just relax."

  • "The accomodation was excellent, perfect weather to top it off, Wildlife at the front door. I was suprised to see how close the beaches were so we got the best of both worlds, country living and the beach's Highly recommend it to others"

  • "Alloway Farm was a delight to stay at! We really enjoyed staying and were blown away by how beautiful the place is. We've recommended to heaps of friends and would love to stay again some time. We loved the natural surroundings, great view and the piece and quiet. Was close to the beach and also very enjoyable to just hang around the house."

  • "Alloway Farm is a beautiful house set on peaceful stunning acres. The house is well equipped with everything you need to make your holiday memorable. Two living areas ensure that those who wish to watch TV/DVD can do so whilst others are relaxing, reading or conversing in the other. Everything was provided for us and the house was scrupulously clean. The kitchen is a dream for entertaining and the outside spaces provide alfresco dining par excellence. Relaxing in the hammock listening to the birds became addictive. Activities and the bustle of town was a short drive away but the farm itself was miles from care. Divine!"
