Architecturally designed and newly built, SeaShells Penneshaw is situated on the third level of the town's historic beach homes precinct with panoramic views over the white sand beach of Hog Bay across Backstairs Passage to the rugged coastline of the mainland.

Facing north to the ocean at the front of the property and with the Karatta Conservation Park at the back door guests enjoy relaxed, contemporary seaside accommodation all within easy walking distance of the town centre, golf course, playground, oval and netball/tennis courts.

The sheltered beach of Hog Bay is just 200m away and is a favorite with visitors and locals alike for early morning strolls, swimming and at dusk when the little penguins come ashore nightly to roost. Conducted tours to the rookery are available.

Meet and Greet

Your hosts, Raelene and Ian live on site and are therefore able to meet and greet guests upon their arrival and outline the features of the property. Their presence, whilst unobtrusive, affords guests an extra measure of security, assists in providing local knowledge and information which all helps to make your stay as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible.

By prior arrangement, guests without a vehicle will be picked up from the ferry terminal or we can simply meet you to show you the town facilities and the easiest way to the property.

Facilities and Features

The layout of SeaShells Penneshaw permits rooms to be made available to best suit the mix and number of guests staying at any one time.

The basic configuration is for up to four to six guests which includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry, separate toilet, bathroom and three bedrooms (queen, double and two bunk beds).

For up to eight guests an additional sitting room, utility area, second en-suite style bathroom and a further queen bedroom are made available. Your specific accommodation needs are able to be catered for at the time of booking.

The living, dining and kitchen are open planned and the living area is equipped with folding doors to gain full access to the large furnished deck looking across the ocean to Cape Jervis on the mainland. Split system airconditioning is provided to this space. A television, video player, DVD and radio are provided plus books and board games.

The kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer, hotplates, oven, microwave, dishwasher, double bowl sink and is well equipped with cutlery, crockery, glassware and cookware.

The laundry includes a wash trough, washing machine, clothes dryer and cupboard with ironing board, iron, broom/mop, washing powder etc.

Bedrooms have built in wardrobes, mirrors, side cupboards, case racks, radio clocks and ceiling fans. Bathrooms are fully tiled with generous showers and vanity units. The main bathroom has a bath.

The utility area has a small sink, microwave oven and bar fridge. The sitting area includes a TV and DVD with two large cane lounge chairs and is open planned with the utility area and conditioned with a split system.
