  • "My husband and I spent the best weekend at Jamieson Cottages by the River. The location is great; gorgeous gardens, right on the river, walking distance to everything. We didn't need to take the car out once. Very relaxing. The cottage we stayed in was cosy and comfortable and felt completely homely. It had everything we needed for a great stay. I really recommend it. We've found our new holiday destination! "

  • "Location, location, location! Jamieson Cottages by the River are only a leisurely 30 metre stroll from the bank of the Jamieson river, at a place where there is a waterhole, so you can get really immersed. Only a short, leisurely stroll back to the main street, shop, pub and cafe. Can thoroughly recommend the cafe, which has a tasty assortment of healthy foods. Who would imagine that, so deep in the High Country, you could get a really decent cup of coffee? The cottage I stayed in (No 2) was well set up, with an excellent kitchen. The decor is pleasant, eclectic, cozy, rather than high fashion or ultra-cool. There is a ceiling fan and an efficient air-con unit for the lounge/dining/kitchen area. The ambience of the cottages is enhanced by the beautiful, colourful gardens, with lovely scented roses, buddleias and other floral delights. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Cottages by the River and hope to return very soon."
