Description

Enjoy nature's splendour either by relaxing in your cabin or getting up close and personal with everything Long Point Break has to offer.

Walk 11kms of pristine, untouched white sand beach combing for shells.
Take a swim in our sheltered (no nasty sea breezes) corner of the beach.
Fossick in the rock pools.
Surf the break at the old jetty ruins.
Watch the penguins and shearwaters (mutton birds) return to their nests upon dark.
Marvel at the giant granite marbles which line the foreshores when you go exploring along the rocks.

Cabin facilities

Long Point Break offers a fully self-contained modern 2 bedroom (2 queen beds) cabin with a modern and contemporary decor.

We have a fully equipped kitchen and also a BBQ for entertaining outside.

Both bedrooms have quality linen with egyptian cotton for your comfort.

A home theatre and 37 inch television add to your entertainment experiences.

Unfortunately we are unable to cater for young children. Please check with us when enquiring

What's close by?

We have the beach directly in front of the cabin, so any beach activity you can think of is right at your fingertips.

Wildlife abounds!!! Particulary birdlife: Penguins walk past the cabin on the way home to their nests. Sea eagles fish off the rocks and nest nearby. Shearwaters return here every year (the only time they ever come on land) to breed during September to August. Grass parrots, wrens, wattlebirds and other honeyeaters are common. Whales and their calves often come into the bay to rest up on their migation either north or south. Seals and dolphins also follow the natural curve of the beach on their fishing expeditions. We have a large population of Paddymelons and Bennett's wallabies, wombats and bandicoots...

We are half way between Bay of Fires and Freycinet Pennisula and Wineglass Bay.

We are also halfway between Launceston and Hobart in terms of travelling time, being approximately 2 hours from both.

There are over a dozen vineyards all within one hours drving time and just as many restaurants. Local towns are also within an hours drive. Bicheno is the closest being a 15 minute drive away, which has everything you could possibly require.

  • "A little piece of Tasmanian paradise. Cabin is excellently equipped and very comfortable. The views are sensational as is the beach, perfect spot for an easy walk. Added highlight are the penguins - can't beleive such little creatures can make so much noise! Would love a patio heater though to enjoy the crisp winter nights outside just that little longer. Highly recommend spending time here! "

  • "Wow what a great little spot, if you're looking for a accommodation that provides comfort, tranquillity and views in a secluded beach front location then Long Point can provide all of that. Found it to be a great spot for a two night stay while exploring the east coast, on a holiday with the family."

  • "Although our stay was only brief we all had a very relaxing time at Long Point Break. The house is very well appointed and had everything we needed to cook a gourmet meal, the beds were extremely comfortable, loved the linen and you can't beat the views. The selection of music was appreciated too. Would have liked to stay longer to take full advantage of the surrounding area. Thanks Sandra and John. We will recommend it to others."

  • "We had the privileged opportunity to spend three days / nights at the very exclusive holiday accommodation at Long Point Break and it was a most enjoyable and highly appreciated amazing holiday experience. The scenery and the beaches and the serenity and the abundant wildlife is simply all that one could ever wish for and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment in this special paradise. To us it was the promised land and it was a truly memorable and most restful get away from home experience. This extraordinary holiday home which is off the beaten track is a priority must visit for all holiday makers who wish to spend quality time in their own private wonderland well away from the crowds and suburban life. This was a five star experience and should any holiday maker visit Tasmania then it is a must to visit Long Point Break and then you too will share in an incredible Mother Nature experience that normally you could only dream off.Congratulations Sandra and John for you have excelled and we feel compelled to let everyone know what pleasure we shared in "
