SONG OF THE WEEK IS 'LIKE A PRAYER' AFTER MADONNA'S PERFORMANCE AT THE SUPER BOWL! LISTEN TO MADONNA RECORDS (AND OTHERS) ON OUR FAMOUS 1970s RECORD PLAYER.
Sisters Beach House offers stylish self-contained accommodation inside Rocky Cape National Park. Across the road from the beach the house is bathed in sunlight all day and warmed by a wood fire heater at night.
An open plan kitchen, living and dining space extends out onto a large north-facing deck with outdoor fireplace and outdoor dining table. Ideal for families and friends to enjoy.
Comfortable queen size beds and feather down duvets ensure you have a wonderful night's sleep. The location of the house at the end of Irby Boulevard means there is no passing traffic and you can hear the waves on the beach.
The kitchen is fully equipped to ensure that budding 'Master Chefs' have everything they need to cook up a storm! Sisters Beach House also provide guests with inside tips on where to buy the best fish and meat locally, which cafes serve the best coffee, and where to dine.
The environment, the recycled and the reclaimed welcome you at Sisters Beach House. 1970s glassware, handmade Australiana and the work of artists have all found their home here. Charming mini-collections of souvenir teaspoons, salvaged shells, sea urchins and feathers are carefully curated and exhibited around the house.
Sisters Beach is a place where you can find refuge in the natural environment. Enjoy swimming in crystal clear water on secluded beaches, familiarize yourself with local walking tracks and native wildlife, or just relax in our funky laid-back beach house.
Sisters Beach House makes a great home base for exploring nearby Boat Harbour Beach, Wynyard, Stanley, Burnie, Penguin and Devonport or day-trip to Cradle Mountain and Sheffield or Arthur River and the Tarkine coast.
"We have really loved our stay @ your lovely Beach House. It has been a delight to take in all the wonderful touches you have provided, and the bed was fantastic! ... the best nights sleep Ive had in at least 10 years! We have added a couple of spoons to your collection. This psychedelic relic thanks you for sharing the albums, especially 'Ripper' and 'Peter Frampton Live'. Awesome." - Visitor Guest Book
P.S. Our tip for great accommodation near Hobart is Beach Shack at Lewisham, also advertised on Stayz. 30 minutes from Hobart and 15 minutes from airport. Check it out at www.stayz.com.au/55979
We all just loved the property, it has such a nice vibe. Sadly the weather was very ordinary, but it made for a very nice Saturday night with too many wines playing board games ... We loved the vinyls - they were on high rotation! I had to laugh when one of them asked how to 'pause' a record ... Thanks again for having us and being flexible with the additional guests - the kids had a great time - Visitor Guest Book.
A lovely sunny day! Off to Boat Harbour, on our way to Stanley to visit the Nut and see the lobsters. We liked them so much we invited one home for dinner along with 12 young oysters! A detour to Smithton before returning for another beach walk (at Sisters), what luxury!- Visitor Guest Book.
Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed staying at your shack. Weather was good and we really liked exploring the local area. It was great to stay in a place that was more like a home, not a generic resort style operation - Visitor Guest Book.
Great house; very relaxing. Loved the fact that its always 11 o'clock; light = 11am; not light = 11pm. Enjoyed catching up on all the gossip mags here. Some great local cow cooked on outside timber BBQ. Perfect atmosphere & flavour. Had some fun reliving old times spinning the vinyl (11 year olds question - Does that sound come out of the grooves?) - Visitor Guest Book.
Our original circa 1975 record player can only be described as a family heirloom and our record collection has been described as shameless. Guests are encouraged to play their own version of RocKwiz or Spicks & Specks.
The collection includes original 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s music such as 10CC, ABBA, Dusty Springfield, Elton John, Gary Glitter, Glenn Campbell, Heart, Icehouse, Neil Diamond, Randy Crawford, Roberta Flack, Rolling Stones, Silver Convention, Soul II Soul, Suzi Q, Terence Trent Derby, Wham and many more. Gaps in the record collection are filled with ill-fated K-Tel compilation records such as Ripper, The Best of Motown, Disco Motion and 20 Happening Hits. We make no apologies for our 'taste' in vinyl and our guests love it.
Note: Pricing is subject to change, and a minimum stay period and other conditions may apply. You should confirm pricing with the property owner.
A discount is available to bookings of 7 nights minimum. Early check ins and late check outs are sometimes available.
