"The River House" is ideal for a family Holiday with swimming on your own white sandy beach or throwing a line in and catching dinner from the river. The surf beach is only a 600mtr bush or road walk. A large shopping center only 10 mins by car or a 15min level push bike ride. If you have a boat there is deep water anchorage right in front of the house.

Try your luck at a spot of fishing. There are plenty of holiday activities including: Estuary Fishing, sailing, kayaking, jet boat rides, water skiing, BBQ boats catch mud crabs & blue swimmers. Dolphin spotting at you back door, scuba diving, surfing, golf, deep sea fishing, wineries, horse riding, rainforest walks and tennis. Ride a Camel along the beach, learn to Surf at the local beach, visit the Koala Hospital, visit the museums & Art Galleries, discover the history with a walk around the various historical sights dating back to convict days. Drive west into the scenic hinterland. Play golf locally or drive 20mins to Wauchope or Kew for another course. Sky diving, diving, helicopter joy flights, bushwalking and many more. Visit a strawberry farm & pick your own fresh strawberries or just relax by the River with a good book The River House is close to the action yet feels a million miles away.

This idyllic setting is fabulous. Port Macquarie is located on the mid north coast of NSW, 4 hrs drive north of Sydney, 5 hrs south of the Qld. border.
The River House is across the Hastings River by Ferry (which run 24 hours a day). The north Beach is isolated & some days you can walk for miles along the beach and not see another person – fantastic feeling ! The surf is best near the break wall and is a protected area for swimming And if you want a night off cooking walk to the Ferry, cross the River & bingo great restaurant right on the river, you can dine out have a drink then stroll home. That feeling of being away from everything, yet you are only 10 minutes by car to Port Macquarie CBD & about 5 minutes to Woolworths & shopping Centre. Enjoy the local cuisine at many of the wonderful Port Macqaurie restaurants or follow the wine trail exploring the vineyards. Wine tasting at the local wineries. The Little Fish winery is excellent for lunch.

River House was the perfect place to unwind and relax. We enjoyed the views across the Hastings River, watched beautiful sunsets from the balcony and had some relaxing days. Set in a very quiet part outside of Port Macquarie, it was a perfect setting for a holiday with an 18 months old kid.
The property is well equipped with a newly renovated and well equipped kitchen and bathroom.

The River House was fantastic. We booked the house from our home in Canada and from the very beginning the experience was great. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The pictures do not do the house or the view justice. Perfect for young kids and great for relaxing. We strongly recommend the River House.

Beautiful spot, functional house with everything you need, very clean and fantastic value for money for water frontage. We had a family reunion and stayed for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. The owners were also very helpful and professional to deal with. Will visit again.

What a wonderful place to stay for a holiday with friends and family . There is so much to do (or not) right at the front door! The most beautiful spot on the river exactly as the photos show - we even caught a flathead the same size as the one in the photo! The house is well stocked with everything you could need and we can't wait until we can return!
