Description

Lingarri Homestead is a shared house set up, with the guesthouse accommodation fully self-contained and independant from the rest of the homestead. It caters for groups from 6 to 10 people.

Guests have their own bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchenette, lounge and dining areas, private verandas and garden, spa deck and outdoor spa.

Lingarri is set in 82 acres of natural bushland and only minutes from the historic township of Beechworth, fantastic restaurants, cafes and shops.

As you enter the property you'll be surrounded by towering Blue Gums, Stringy Barks and Peppermints. The house sits proudly on top of the hill waiting for you to come in and make yourself at home.

If you've been looking for a place to really unwind with your friends but want the option of things to do, then you've found it.

Lingarri is only 30 minutes from Albury-Wodonga and Wangaratta so it's easy to have a special weekend away with a few friends or family members without driving for hours to get there.

Only 3 hours from Melbourne, Lingarri makes for a great girl's week-end away: a Winery Walkabout: a Family Reunion: or a Walking or Cycling with a group of your best mates.

Whatever your looking for, give Linda & Gary a call and they'll give you a little piece of heaven that won't cost you the earth.

Facilities

THE HOMESTEAD
Lingarri Homestead has made available 4 of its bedrooms and 2 of its bathrooms. The option of single, bunk or king sized bed configurations are available. A minimum booking for 6 people is required and can sleep 8 comfortably or 10 people, if 4 people don't mind sharing the large front bedroom.
THE BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
Bedroom 1 opens onto the northern veranda of the homestead and is the largest of all the bedrooms. It has its own en-suite with large windows overlooking a fernery.  Bedrooms 2 , 3 & 4 have french doors leading out onto  balconies which overlook the eastern & southern garden. These bedrooms share a bathroom which also overlooks a fernery. Imagine sitting out on your balcony with a fresh cup of brewed coffee, watching the sunrise and listening to the birds welcome in another glorious day.
THE LIVING AREAS
There are 2 living areas where you can socialise with family or friends, or alternatively find a cosy nook to curl up in front of the fire in winter, with a good book or glass of port.
THE SPA
The homestead is built around a central courtyard where you can hire the 8 seater heated spa for $20 per hour. If that's not enough to get rid of all your stress, we could organise one of our local masseurs to come to the house and give your group some pampering. Prices start from $80 per hour
THE KITCHENETTE
The kitchenette (although small) houses tea and coffee making facilities as well as a gas stove, microwave, fridge, crockery, glasses and cutlery. If you don't feel like cooking while you're here you could head out to one of the many fine restaurants or cafes in Beechworth.
THE OUTSIDE AREAS
The BBQ, outdoor entertainment areas, verandas and gardens are all at your disposal and are there for you to enjoy.Don't forget to explore the bush tracks on the property while you're here.

YOUR HOSTS
Linda & Gary built the homestead 15 years ago, using milled timber from the block and many other recycled and environmentally friendly materials. The garden is still a work in progress.

  • "We had a great stay at the Lingarri Homestead! It's a cute little place and fitted our mis-matched group of young adults well! Monty (the dog) was a highlight to hang out with us and we enjoyed walking him through the impressive bush surroundings. Linda looked after us very well, bringing us kindling and firewood daily but leaving us to do our own thing most of the time. She was helpful with advice on things to do in the area and the best place to get a Chicken Parma in town! She and Gary even organised a huge bonfire for us to enjoy one night during our stay! We will be back for sure! "

  • "The perfect location for my best friends hens weekend! No better place for a bunch of women to relax, be pampered and enjoy each others company! Thank you to Linda & Garry for keeping the wood fire going and the yummy home cooked dinners. A beautiful home in gorgeous surrounds - the perfect place to unwind! "

  • "We were a party of 3 couples, staying 4 nights. Had a lovely stay at Lingarri. The house is very comfortable and clean and we appreciated getting up and coming home to the warmth of the slow combustion heater and open fire. The beds were comfortable and the house is roomy. Although we were out every day and didn't make full use of the verandahs, I think this house would be wonderful for anyone looking for some peaceful seclusion in the bush."

  • "I would recommend Lingarri for any occasion relaxing, warm hospitality and the most comfortable beds are just a few things to look forward too. We had selected Lingarri for a Hens weekend away and it was the best weekend for all, you will not be disappointed. Linda and Gary can accommodate for all, they both made our stay just the little bit special from the beautiful home cooked meal to the champagne and strawberries in the spa also waking up to find the fires stoked, all that was left was for us to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The girls are still talking about it and l will definitely be back..Once again thank you Linda and Gary and wishing you both the best for the future."

We will definately be back each year - what a find! The most comfy beds we have ever slept in, great space for all of us, warm fires each morning & the peaceful atmosphere - nothing could top it! "

  • "What a lovely house. Great facilities with a nice homely feel. The house situated just outside Beechworth, provided a great base for our exploring. The bedrooms are spacious with really comfy beds. The weather was very cool, but the 2 fires kept us warm. Great for sitting by, with a good glass of local wine, chatting with friends. Great rest and relaxation. We will be back. Thanks to Linda for making our stay so comfortable..and not forgetting enjoying the spa and watching the stars. 5 STARS!!!"
