My husband and I stayed with some friends at the Gasworks apartment over the Australia Day/Big Day Out Long weekend, and it was fabulous!
So roomy, great location, and tastefully furnished. Felt so relaxed while staying there, and we were able to park the cars up and walk everywhere.
I love all the knick knacks throughout the apartment, and all the little bits and pieces to make your stay more comfortable (an old box of games/cards, pantry items, even a juicer!)
I would highly recommend this place to anyone (families, groups of friends, couples) looking for somewhere close to everything in Fremantle, it is exceptional value for money :)

Highly recommended accommodation; close to everything, shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, railway station and free CAT buses! As a family of five with teenagers we all had loads of room, very handy having the garage as well! Thanks so much for a fabulous holiday! We love Freo!

We had three delegates attending a conference in Freo. The Gasworks Apartment was ideal as it provided large living areas to give everyone plenty of room and is very well appointed and located. We would recommend it to anyone requoreing accommodation for business or for a holiday.

Very spacious (we thought the photos were just a clever camera, but it really is a very big apartment). It was great having the secure off-road parking and the key-pad entry. Rooms were clean and most had wooden floors. Only a couple of tiny gripes: the bathroom door had fallen a little on its hinges so was difficult to open/close/lock; A light is needed in the garage and in the lower hallway; and we had a few visits from Aussie crawling insects during our stay! Best feature of the apartment is, without doubt, the superb location. Within a couple of minutes walk to the shops and the station. Good communication from the owners. We would return to this apartment again.

The location is great. Coles is opposite and other shops n restaurants closeby. Extremely spacious, can accommodated up to 8 people comfortably (with 3 rooms and a sofa bed in the living area). The interior is beautifully decorated and quite a piece of art. Kitchen is huge with everything you need. Lots of space for kids to run around. It would have been even better if child safety gates could be added to the top of both staircases so we need not watch the kids too closely. Most comfortable stay ever.

Stayed at the gasworks over Easter Weekend.
Absolutely great place - the living area was very large - perfect for a couple of children to run around. All the other areas - bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, deck were also very generous.
The property was very beautiful and characteristic.
Property has everything you need and is in a great location - near to the train station/bus terminal - coles - and a stones throw from the restaurants and pubs.
Fremantle over Easter was just buzzing - there was a fair and two days of street entertainment and markets. Magic.

A wonderful property......more a house than an apartment! The rooms are spacious and well furnished, the kitchen is enormous and has everything you could want plus more. Free wifi was an unexpected bonus. It could not be more central for shops, the station, the waterfront, supermarkets. We would return in a flash! Stephanie was also very helpful and was an excellent host. We will return!

We spent 5 nights at FGW in January 2012 and had a wonderful time in Freo, visiting from Hong Kong over Chinese New Year. FGW is fantasically located, and a wonderful quirky apartment, with everything you'd need for a stay in Freo. We are a family of 4 (our eldest is 23 and our youngest 9) and it was easily big enough. Internet access, secure off street parking, a great kitchen and living area, 3 large bedrooms and bathroom. Couldn't have wished for better.
We are due to visit WA again next year, and hope to stay at FGW again - can't give a better recommendation than that. Walking distance to the cappucino strip (if you like that sort of thing), the harbour area (and Little Creatures) and there's even a great little fish pub down the street. Really couldn't be better located.
And Stephanie was great - very helpful and friendly, with some great recommendations. Rotto was great, and well probably also stay on the island for a day or so next visit. Already looking forward to it.

The apartment was perfect. It was a brilliant location for easy access to all facilities, and our 2 year old couldn't "destroy" it as there weren't too many breakables. The toys were a nice touch, and the basics in the pantry, laundry and bathroom etc were appreciated. May I suggest at some time in the future that air conditioners are installed in the other bedrooms also (quieter ones) as it became very muggy at night and uncomfortable in the other rooms even with the fans. A light outside would also be a nice touch.
Irrespective, it was still reasonably cool, and I would have no hesitation in staying again, and in fact have already recommended the apartment to numerous people.

Absolutely Stunning! FGW is a beautiful large space that has been decorated with real thought, A perfect reflection of Fremantle through out. CLose to SUpermarkets and the main shopping strip and well as countless restaurants, cafes and nightlife. If I could live in this apartment forever I would in a heartbeat. Easy Communication with the owners as well made staying here a delight. It was the perfect accomodation during our wedding weekend as well as a beautiful photo backdrop and we will always remember our stay. I will be recommending FGW to everyone and expect to be back time and time again.

A credit to the owners on this chic property as it was everything and more. Space galore, so central, we walked everywhere and to everything within Freo. Had my three children with me and met my mum and dad there for a joint holiday. Never did we feel cramped and all had our own little space to retreat to. Everything supplied and catered for. Loved it!!
