Description

Absolute waterfront cottage! People and pets will revel in this peaceful, safe lakeside and beach location, with updated kitchen and bathrooms and fenced yard. Safe for kids to ride their bikes, swing from the trees into the lake, fly a kite and toast marshmallows over the fire. There is also a caravan park across the lake with a jumping pillow and water park for children. For the big people with drinks and nibbles, while watching sunset reflections, fish from the beach, Island and lake, or just sit around an open fire 10 metres from the deck, on the water's edge.
The cottage is a 5-8 minute bush walk next to the lake to 2 beaches and Crampton Island, which can be reached through shallow water or over sand at low tide. Star fish and sea life abound in the rock pools exposed at low tide.
The 60 year old cottage is open plan with 3 bedrooms and a rumpus/bed room, furnished with 2 QS, 4 single beds, plus sofabed. There is a new kitchen with a lovely 1930's gas oven and a covered back verandah. The bathroom is updated as are the two separate toilets. The wood heater is romantic and cosy on cool nights with fresh sea breezes cooling the air on summer days.

Attractions include boating, canoeing with canoe supplied, swimming, surfing with surf boards supplied, (there is a local surf school) fishing, snorkeling or diving. While bushwalking or cycling to the beaches you can see a variety of birds, including parrots, black cockatoos, pelicans, sea eagles, lorrakeets as well as kangaroos, echidnas, whales and dolphins in season. A favourite pastime of young and old is feeding the ducks and parrots at the front door. Burrill Lake, 5k away, also has a water skiing club. Pets are allowed in the house and, if well behaved, can run free once on the beach.
The Mogo Zoo is a 40 minute drive south through the beach town of Batemans bay and historic Mogo town. Ulladulla and historic Milton are attractive shopping centres 10-15 minutes to the north.

  • " Once again we had lovely time at the lake house. The weather was on our side sometime it was a bit windy. Our dog loved his walks to beach and also having some local dog coming to visit him at the lake house. My husband enjoyed fishing off the island the most. He caught lots fish including salmon, bream, trevally and flathead .We didnt catch much worth keeping from the lake. We will be back again soon Thanks Debbie, Col and Cody (our dog) "

  • "very much liked it and have recommended it to 3 other people already. all it lacked was a clothes rack to dry clothes inside. A pergola for rainy days would be great. "

  • "We would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone needing a location that is relaxing and beautiful. It's location to the beach and estuary was such a blessing to us. We're looking forward to booking there again."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Lake House. It was wonderful to take our furry children with us and feel relaxed about having them with us. The house is lovely and bright with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Great bushwalks and beach, only eclipsed by the abundance of bird life. We hope to return next year!."

  • "A lovely little beach house on the bank of the lake, unfortunately it poured rain nearly the whole time and we decided to go home. Was lovely to see the childhood memories flood back."

  • "The property in one word; AWSEOME. Definitely was the pick of our pet friendly cabin holidays. We have stayed in cabin accommodation throughout Vic. and N.S.W. for as long as our little dog is old - about 14 years. As for fishing; The best I've had at coast.Congratulations Jacqui - We WILL be back next year. • "We were pleasantly surprised with the Lakehouse. The view from the loungeroom across the lake is nothing short of spectacular. It was lovely to watch the sunrise and the colours of the lake change. We enjoyed our daily visits from the lorikeets - they were very cute and cheeky. The living areas were comfortable, the heating and TV reception great and the house incredibly clean. It was very convenient having 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet. It was a trip down memory lane for us as we spent our childhood holidays at our family holiday home - number 10 Centre Street. The walk along the lake to the beach and Crampton Island was a daily highlight. My husband and daughter would fish from the Lake House's deck at every opportunity. They weren't disappointed - the lake was full of bream. I loved to feed the ducks and pelicans and sit and enjoy the winter sunshine. We just wished we could have stayed longer. Our dog thought he was in heaven too! We can't wait for our next visit. Thank you for a wonderful holiday."

  • ""Highly recommended for a stress relieving winter holiday. House is lovely and comfortable especially comfortable beds. The beach is only a short walk and the local shops had all the necessary items we needed for food. Our dog had a lovely time too, he enjoyed our long walks on the beach, which is dog friendly. We will defiantly be back and we will bring our friends with us as the house is more than ample thank you for a great holiday"
