Established in 1851, and formerly residence to the family of the first Bishop of Adelaide, Bickham Grange Estate is a fully self contained cottage authentically restored with loving detail to its original beauty.

This heritage listed cottage radiates the charm of yesteryear, from its high ceilings, leadlight windows and polished floorboards to its two luxury double bedrooms set in olde world charm, cosy open fireplace, and huge claw foot bath.
The cottage is furnished throughout with a delightful mix of antique furniture and modern appliances, and is equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Bickham Grange is an ideal spot to share with friends or family, suitable also for executive groups, and it's a perfect retreat for a romantic weekend getaway. Set in beautiful private gardens, it's easy to find a quiet area to relax and unwind, read a book, or enjoy a sunset drink while you reminisce over the day's spectacular outings.

Ideally located at the base of the Adelaide Hills with its breathtaking scenery, national parks, cellar doors and bushwalks, and just 10 kilometres from the Adelaide CBD where you can lose yourself in shopping, restaurants, galleries or the zoo (visit the pandas), you are also only an hour from the famed Barossa, McLaren Vale and Clare Valley wine districts.
In fact the most frequent comment we have from guests is on our perfect location to a variety of attractions.

For those looking for a leisurely walk, run or cycle, the River Torrens Linear Trail provides an ideal choice as it follows the river from the base of the hills right through the centre of Adelaide to the beachside suburb of Henley Beach.
Passing the door of Bickham Grange and featuring level, bitumen paths, the trail suits all fitness levels.
And we have bicycles available for guest use!
