  • "Delightful setting, warm hospitality. Clean, comfortable and homely. I recommend The Lodge to anyone wanting to feel at home right away. Brain and Fran are generous and friendly hosts - as is their very bouncy dog Wilson. "

  • "We stayed at the Lodge during the October school holidays with our two very energetic young boys. The farm is wonderful and there was plenty to keep us occupied. Our hosts, Brian and Fran, are generous and helpful. The surrounding countryside is spectacular and the vistas very relaxing. The Lodge is well placed and only minutes from Berry and the beach. Highly recommended for a south coast break. "

  • "We stayed for 1 night at the Lodge and it was perfect for our weekend traveling around the area. Loved meeting the excitable Wilson (dog) and mini ponies. The fridge was stocked with fresh eggs, champagne, cheese, biscuits, juice, milk, butter and bread. All you need to make a great breakfast. Fireplace was packed and ready, bathroom was spotless and loved going to sleep with the fire slowly burning to keep warm. Its a quick 5 min drive into Berry. "

  • "My husband and i just clebrted our 2 year wedding anniversary at Far Meadow Lodge. We had previously stayed there in 2003, and were still amazed 8 years later. Brian was fantastic and the little goodies left made us feel right at home. Sittign in front of the log fire was fantastic and kept us toasty warm, the views were spectacular, and had agreat meal down the road in Berry. We will definitly be returning and would recommend Far Meadow to anyone looking for affordable accomodation in a country setting."

  • "We had a fantastic winter weekend here and our children aged 3 and 6 years had a ball. The accommodation is very comfortable, well equipped and the wood burning heater was very cosy. The farm is beautiful with stunning views across the valley and all the way to the ocean. Brian was an excellent host and we enjoyed all the generous provisions, including the freshly laid eggs. The children loved playing with the dog Wilson, running around the property and visiting the steers, ponies and chickens. I'm sure we'll be back."

  • "We are just back from a wonderful stay at the lodge, brian and frann were lovely, they were warm and friendly, and yet we felt that we had our own space. Berry Is a beautiful town, and this was a perfect location with 7mile beach just at the end of the road. The cottage was well equipt with all the utensils we needed, and it was stocked with a lovely cheese plate, and fresh fruit and eggs. Another favorite was the wood burner fire, we were lovely and cozy, it was a great get away! "

  • "My partner and I were pleasantly surprised by this lodge in many ways: the views of rolling countryside were fabulous, the cabin was extremely spacious and comfortable, and our hosts Brian and Fran had stocked our cabin with complimentary champagne, chocolates, juice and breakfast supplies. This venue was a lovely find and Brian and Fran were friendly yet not at all intrusive."

  • "We only stayed for two days and it was definitely not enough. The place was very kid friendly and our three kids had so much to do that we didnt go into the town of Berry once. The property offered so much entertainment for them, talking to the ponies, cows and chickens and throwing the stick to Winston, the owners dog who was very friendly. The accomodation was clean and they didnt have to offer any food but they did which made the place feel very homely. The pool was refreshing to swim in and the old fashioned swing was alot of fun too. I could go on for hours....its definitely a great place to stay."

  • "We lay on a rug in the dappled golden afternoon light ,calmed and cooled by the sea breeze whisping its way through the eucalypts - looking north towards the horses and cattle dotting the green hills and blue escarpment.... we realised we were completely relaxed and comfortable. The Lodge is a gorgeous place to unwind and breath in the air of the beautiful Coolongatta countryside. Lawrence and Sally"

  • "We stayed at The Lodge Far Meadow with our 2 children, and really enjoyed ourselves. The farm is located on a hill facing the ocean which can be seen in the distance. You also get a lovely breeze off the ocean in the afternoons -whilst the cottage is not air conditioned, we didn't feel that we needed it (we stayed in mid December). The cottage was welcoming and comfortable and the well stocked kitchen was much appreciated(the farm fresh eggs especially). The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool which they used almost every day. The location is also great - between Berry and the beach!"
