Description
Situated just minutes south of Byron Bay, NSW, this magnificent new home is a series of five pavilion-style buildings, connected to each other by decks and walkways. The landscaped gardens are finished off with a stunning pool area and day-beds. You'll hear the surf at night from your bed, and the beach is a stone's throw over a private track through the sand dunes.
The pool is in two levels - one a mirror to the forest, is shallow with an infinity edge for toddlers and reclining adults, with reading bays cut into the steps. This spills down to a 20 metre lap pool. The deck around the pools is golden sandstone.
"Barefoot" feels like an exclusive Balinese resort, but is nestled in an Australian rainforest with a private track over the sand dunes to one of the world's top 100 rated right-hand point breaks.
Prices and Weddings
Low season $1200 per night, $5600 five nights, $7000 per week.
Shoulder $1400 per night, $6800 five nights, $8000 per week.
Barefoot is approved for 14 weddings per year. There is a five night minimum stay (one week from October 2013) and a reception fee that covers basic services like rubbish removal, gate attendant, wet weather sail and public liability insurance. We have a capacity of 70 and a curfew of 9pm. This is the most elegant and relaxed beach wedding venue in Australia. Get married around lunchtime and wind away the afternoon through the sunset with your guests.
Each pavilion has its own air conditioning. With each bedroom in a separate building there is perfect privacy should four couples and children choose to occupy the home. Each of the two main bedrooms has a king-size double bed, a single and a double daybed under nets on the verandah.
The home is beautifully furnished, with a plush 6m long lounge, deck chairs and a backyard perfect for children and dogs.
Three bikes are ready for the beautiful low tide cycle to the lighthouse, or take out one of the four surfboards which are from 5 foot to 8 foot long
Just 20 minutes from Ballina airport, this is Byron Shire living without the bustle.

Location
The stretch of beach to the immediate south of the Byron Bay Lighthouse ends at its south point, the tiny settlement of Broken Head, where there will only ever be 17 houses. From the beach you can only see one building, the Byron Bay Lighthouse. Ignore that and you could be transported to 1000 years ago.
Mostly untouched rainforest, Broken Head is a magical spot positioned only a few minutes from the heart of Byron Bay and boasts a beach with a legendary point break. The beach break is perfect for beginners, and local surf schools often choose to give their students their first wave in the family friendly shallows of the beach. Over the summer months the beach is patrolled by lifeguards.
Dolphins and whales are a common sight in the ocean out front. Two of the most deserted and beautiful beaches in the shire, Brays and Kings, are found by walking up Seven Mile Beach road and down tracks through the rainforest. The road begins right outside our front gate.

Should you be one couple with up to three children there is a discount on the displayed price because one of the pavilions can be locked off.
