An easy 2-hour drive from Sydney, and at the heart of the Hunter Valley, Logans Retreat is located in Nulkaba, right next door to Pokolbin.
The property is situated on one and half acres at the end of a gravel road, where you can overlook the Australian bush and breathe in the fragrant scents of the orange and lemon trees. The level, grassy grounds at Logans Retreat make it perfect for outdoor barbecues, backyard cricket or simply chilling out over a glass of wine or two!
Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the tranquility of the Hunter Valley.
THINGS TO DO
Its central location means Logans Retreat provides the perfect base from which to explore all that the Hunter Valley has to offer. Enjoy Australias oldest wine region by visiting one of the 120 cellar doors in the area. Sample wines from some of the historic, family vineyards or sample something new from one of the innovative, boutique wineries. If you prefer a pint over a Semillon, visit the Blue Tongue Boutique Brewery and Café or the Potters Hotel and Brewery, which is less than a kilometer away.
The Hunter Valley also has some of the finest culinary destinations in Australia, offering something for everyone. If you are looking for other activities and maybe some adventure, why not take an exhilarating hot air balloon ride, enjoy a sunset horse back ride, hit a round of golf at a Greg Norman designed golf course, or pamper yourself with a day of shopping and spa treatments. Each day you are at Logans Retreat will be one worth remembering.
The uniquely spacious accommodation allows you to escape for the weekend without leaving behind all the comforts of home. The comfortable living room has two sofas (one being a double sofa bed with a full inner spring mattress), a wonderful wood burning fireplace, flat screen TV with Foxtel and a familiar array of DVDs, books, and board games that promises to keep all family and friends fully entertained. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking and laundry amenities, including a microwave oven, dishwasher, and an Espresso machine. There is also a medium sized dining room with farmhouse-style table and chairs off the kitchen with seating for eight.
Logans Retreat has four bedrooms, three of them upstairs. The queen-size master bedroom has vaulted ceilings, a large built-in wardrobe and a master ensuite with double shower. Next door, youll find a comfortable sitting room or parents retreat that includes a sofa bed. This room is perfect for families that have an infant or toddler that want to be closer to Mum and Dad and includes a portable cot. The other two rooms are both double bedrooms, each with an ensuite that includes a shower.
Downstairs, youll find a child-friendly bedroom, dubbed the Kids Club. A Tri-Bunk bed sleeps three in this room, with a single bed on top, and a fold down double futon on the bottom. Kids of all ages will love this room as theyll find board games, colouring books, cable television with all of their favourite channels, a Playstation 2, and a collection of movies. There is also a fourth toilet and shower downstairs and is easily accessible from the Kids Club room.
The house is surrounded by one and half acres of flat, grassy grounds overlooked by a large, covered verandah which is ideal for outdoor entertaining as well as providing a birds eye view of the kids swimming in the pool or playing on the lawn.
