Description

Come and enjoy the best the Bellingen region has to offer, using this renovated 100 yr old 'quirky' home as your base. Great for either a romantic weekend away, a family holiday or a holiday with your friends.

The location of this home has the best of both worlds, you are less than 10 minutes to the centre of Bellingen with it's shopping, arts, music and markets and a 2 min walk to the local shops and bay - with a further 5min boardwalk to Hungry Head beach.

The house is featured as a home make-over in the January 2010 edition of Real Living Magazine. (Out 23rd November 2009)

Best of both worlds...

We have renovated the house to reflect our own laid back attitude to life. simple, stylish and user friendly....we hope its both easy on the eyes and easy on the soul. We try to create eco- friendly houses. This means tank water for flushing toilets, watering the garden and the washing machine. It means a solar hot water system and we have applied for a solar-grid system to be installed. It also means recycling all our garbage, composting and growing our own vegies when we're there.

This house is run on a 'community based system', which means we share our weekender with others when we're not using it ourselves. We are not a B&B, so please don't expect that. To make it easy for us we leave some of our stuff there and ask that you bring your own sheets and towels to use.

We also ask that you leave the house in the condition that you find it. Should you require linen we can arrange this for you as an added cost.

Layout and Activities

The layout of this house suits all and comfortably sleeps 7 people. This house has three double bedrooms two with queen size beds and one with two singles. It has TV, DVD player and a washing machine.

Doonas, blankets and pillows are provided. It has undercover parking, and a huge secured level garden out the back for the kids and dogs to run around in. A great place to bring your bikes since hungry head beach is a flat 10 min bike ride away.

The Sydney Morning Herald is delivered every morning to your door, complimentary on the weekends for you to enjoy.

  • "Quaint little cottage with a very layed back vibe. Great for a couple or group of mates wanting a quiet chilled out place without all the fancy designer home features. Cute original features throughout the house with a touch of mod cons makes for a pleasant stay. Its a 5 min walk to the bay then a nice boardwalk to the beach Nice big garden for the dog with a massive vege patch in the making.
