Set overlooking private beach frontage and a 200 acre working farm, our licensed B&B has stunning sea views from every room. Sit by warm fires in winter or enjoy the summer sunsets from your private verandah. We serve fresh, locally grown food, including our own produce - country cooking with flair. French Island is self sufficient - we produce our own solar power and collect rainwater. We also have special music nights with Paul Madigan and guest musicians, and cater for parties.

Location

French Island,an island wilderness,is just over an hour from Melbourne, Victoria,and 10 minutes by ferry from Stony Point, or 20 minutes from Cowes. A few lucky people live in the National Park with views from Hastings on the Mornington Peninsula to San Remo - the gateway to Phillip Island. With rare plant species, hundreds of bird species and koalas in their thousands, the island is a living sanctuary in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula Western Port Biosphere. French Island is self sufficient - we produce our own power and collect rain water. French Island is accessible only by sea or air.

Local Attractions

Amenities on the island are basic but the beaches, the bush and the island environment are the real local attractions. Bikes are available for hire and tours of natural and historic sites can be booked on the island. This is a place to relax, walk,look and listen - enjoy the peace and quiet.
