Your children will love this place. A huge house which sleeps up to 7 with 4 bedrooms, a large study and an enormous living room leading out to the deck with an amazing view of the rainforest and mountains beyond. Best of all there’s 2 acres of orchard and paddock (fully fenced) leading down to The Rocks. The Rocks is a beautiful swimming hole on Freshwater Creek and has long been a favorite with locals for picnics and as an alternative to the beach. The creek runs through the rainforest, clear and cool, straight of the mountains above Crystal Cascades. This is adventure land for kids. You probably won’t see them all day because there are so many exciting places to explore and trees to climb.
There are plenty of other things to do nearby. The tennis courts are walking distance, the horse-riding centre is just up the road (1km) and the beaches are 15-20 minutes by car.
The rainforest shares its nature with us, green tree frogs, the ulysses butterfly and an occasional goanna. Enjoy birdwatching and or chill out on the extended timber verandahs with a refreshing cool drink.
This is the house for families who love outdoor living with plenty of space, yet so close to Cairns central. The house will only be available for this year and then the owners are returning home.

The house consist of 4 bedrooms a study/rumpus 3 bathrooms separate dinning, formal lounge. All bedrooms view the mountains and lead onto the back timber verandahs.
The master bedroom - a king bed, private en suite with dual shower, TV and DVD player, walk in wardrobe.
Bedroom no. 2 - a king bed available to be split into two king singles, private en suite and a walk in wardrobe.
Bedroom 3 and 4 are fitted out with king single beds and built in wardrobes.
The main bathroom holds a separate shower and large bath.
Rumpus / office also leads onto the verandas.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cook top, oven and appliances include fridge, dishwasher and microwave.
The formal dining area seats up to 8 guests comfortably, or enjoy the vast open space of the acreage by dinning out on the verandah with the GREAT AUSTRALIAN barbecue. Large cathedral doors open up to this fabulous massive verandah viewing lush rainforest and mountains.
RELAX in the main living/lounge area. Melt into the Balinese lounge. Enjoy...if you must TV and DVD's...lets hope only when its raining....

Rocks Homestead and area
The Rocks area is famous for its swimming holes, tree swings , bike tracks, nature walks and running tracks.
Fantastic picnic areas beside the natural flowing creek, canoeing (on high waters). Small fish, turtles and yabbies can be found around the river, the children love the pebbled paths and tree swings.
There is a tennis court that is available day or night (2 minutes walk from the property).
Crystal Cascades national park is a 5 minute drive and is a must for the family to visit and to have a cool dip. Horse riding schools are two minutes from the property..
A major shopping complex 4 minutes by car from the property contains full medical, dentist, Woolworth's, cafes, hairdressers post office, clothing bakery.......
