We have nine wonderful properties to offer you - Tyntynder Lodge (4 cottages), Abacus at Bright (previously Balzac of Bright) (3 Cottages), Tessies House and Tessies Studio.

All are completely unique and have been set up solely with your comfort in mind. They are all located in quiet tree lined streets – close to town and the river.

Walk easily to the shops, the restaurants and the river from all of our properties

There is a 2 night minimum stay at all our cottages. Those who wish to have a longer holiday are able to get discounts of up to $20 per night.

Please Note - OUR TARIFFS AT TYNTYNDER AND ABACUS ARE FOR 2 GUESTS BUT EXTRA GUESTS ONLY PAY $40 FOR THEIR ENTIRE STAY. THEY STAY A WEEK THEY ONLY PAY $40. WE DO NOT CHARGE EXTRA GUESTS BY THE NIGHT.

TESSIES IS THE ONLY HOUSE OF THIS SIZE AND STANDARD IN BRIGHT – 4 BEDROOMS OF 5 STAR STANDARD
PLEASE BE AWARE - If you are a group of 7 or 8 it would be necessary to rent both the Studio and the House. This involves adding together the tariffs for both properties.
If you are only a group of 6 or less you will be able to stay at Tessies House (without the Studio).

PLEASE NOTE THE TARIFF FOR TESSIES IS FOR THE FIRST FOUR (4) GUESTS. You only pay extra if more than 4 guests stay. There is no reduction if less than 4 guests stay.

EXTRA GUESTS OVER THE FIRST 4 ONLY PAY $40 FOR THEIR ENTIRE STAY - THEY DO NOT PAY EXTRA PER NIGHT. THEY STAY FOR 7 NIGHTS THEY STILL ONLY PAY $

TESSIES STUDIO

Up to 2 guests in a king size bed – the economical alternative

4. Kitchenette with microwave, plates, cutlery, toast machine, toaster, jug & bar fridge
5. Two comfortable lounge chairs

ABACUS AT BRIGHT

Up to 4 guests – 3 cottages – unsuitable for children due to stairs

1. ALL NEW IN 2007
2. Two x 1 bedroom cottages and one x 2 bedroom cottage
3. The one bedroom cottages sleep 2 in a king size bed; the two bedroom cottage sleeps up to 4 in a king size bed in the main bedroom and a queen size bed in the second bedroom

PETS

In recognition of some of our guests loving to travel with their pets each property has a fully fenced private cottage set aside for those who wish to holiday with their four legged friends. Pets are welcome inside.

As pets are NEVER to be left unattended at our properties we can offer doggy sitting facilities - day and night. Ask us when you book or look for the details in your cottage

Location

Tyntynder Lodge is set in Tyntynder Lane - a quiet country tree lined lane that finishes at the Ovens River. It only contains three houses and has no through traffic. There is a park opposite our cottages.

From the back gate of the cottages it is 50 metres to the start of the riverside walks that are one of the main tourist attractions of Bright. Walk into Bright along one of these flat, beautifully maintained walks or walk the other way into pristine bush with the delightful Ovens River gurgling beside you.

Tessies House and Tessies Studio are at the end of a blissfully quiet court off Mountbatten Avenue opposite the Arboretum (large park). It is an easy 8 minute flat walk into town. Alternatively it is 3 minutes across a park to get to the river.

Abacus At Bright is located in Mountbatten Avenue – opposite the Art Gallery 3 flat blocks from town. It is a quiet, tree lined street running parallel to the Ovens River and famous Delaney Avenue.

The tranquil Ovens River and all its riverside walks are a stones throw away. You are a gentle 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants of Bright. All this in a peaceful country environment..

Local Attractions

Bright is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Australia and yet still remains a peaceful haven for nature lovers with its glorious European scenery and atmosphere. It is close to Mt Buffalo, Mt Hotham & Falls Creek for skiing, bush walking etc.

Day trips to historic Beechworth, Mt Buffalo, Milawa, Rutherglen and the ski fields are all possible from this idyllic base
