THE CASTLE

The magnificence of the castle becomes more apparent the closer you come to it. The detail in the building is of a era long gone but still admired by many. Owner, Garry Morgan built the castle over six stages and incorporated materials of historical significance which he has collected over a long period of time and was awarded the MBA Builder of the Year - north east region in 2007 for the complexity and craftmanship clearly on display at Running Creek Castle.

There are two self contained suites within the castle building, each on three levels and comprising of private outside entry/vestibule, lounge area with queen size sofa bed, kitchen with gas cooking facilities, and equipped with everything you need, private bathroom, one loft style bedroom (with either king or queen bed) which overlooks the lounge and a second bedroom with one double bed and one single bed. The suites are gas heated for optimum guest comfort on chilly Alpine nights. There is Austar available from each suite lounge and the second bedroom. Therefore, each suite can sleep a maximum of 7 people.

In addition, to the castle accommodation we have on offer a fully self contained three bedroom timber cabin with it's very own private creek frontage. Ideal for families seeking quality time away together. Our cabin can also sleep a maximum of 7 people.

WHILE YOU ARE HERE

Guests at Running Creek Castle cannot help but relax! From every direction there are superb mountainous views which can be admired from the balcony while enjoying a glass of wine, from the turret or any of the comfortable outdoor areas as well as from the suites. Within the grounds there are beautiful gardens to explore and help you unwind. There is an inground solar heated salt water pool, heated spa bath and squash court. For the little ones a fabulous play ground with swings, slides, sandpit and multistory play facility will keep them entertained for days.

Breakfast is provided to the suites for guests to prepare at their leisure, and includes cereal, milk, juice, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, toast, tea and coffee.

Guests can also take advantage of the BBQ areas on offer on the front balcony or on the pool deck.

For the fisherman Running Creek is a great place to spend a few relaxing hours.
