The Retreat is set on 70 diverse and divine acres for you to explore and is home to many rare animals and plants. There is a deep granite gorge along the 1 Kilometre length of the property, with a permanent creek that has several platypus, spectacular waterfalls, plus waterholes to swim in.
Koreelah Falls Bush Retreat is within 1hr and 45 mins of Brisbane (from Paddington in NON peak hour traffic) and the Gold Coast (in NON peak hour traffic) or 45 mins South of Boonah just over the NSW border via the Tourist Route using Carneys Creek Road.
Whether you desire a romantic weekend away, a fun-filled holiday for your family or if you just want a great place to spend time with friends, Koreelah Falls Bush Retreat has all you require for a wonderful escape.
There are many things to do - bushwalkers will be in their element, but you can also relax in a hammock with a good book. Don't forget your togs in warmer months!
In cooler months, enjoy a roaring camp-fire watching the sun go down and the moon and stars rise in the night sky.
Take a scenic drive and you will find wineries, cafe's, quaint country towns, Main Range National Park, Queen Mary Falls, Condamine Gorge and lavender farms to enjoy.
IF BRINGING YOUR BELOVED DOG PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THEIR FLEA/TICK CONTROL APPLICATION IS UP TO DATE.
Dogs outside only in the dog-fenced yard. No dogs inside the house. There is a kennel under the front steps for sleeping in. If it is a cold night we allow dogs to sleep on their own bedding in the bathroom ONLY.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please only book our property if you care about the environment and other people's property. This is a family home.
The Environmentally (almost fully) Self-Sustainable Cottage
Stay in our Eco-friendly workers cottage that we have transported from Inner-City Brisbane. Our cottage is enjoying a great retirement overlooking spectacular waterfalls, gorge and mountain views with some of the cleanest, sweetest air that you will ever breathe. Listen to the waterfalls and creek run through the deep and ancient gorge that our cottage has been placed next to.
The house runs on a substantial solar power system with back up generator. Water is supplied by rain water tanks, with a additional tap in the kitchen supplying filtered purified drinking rainwater.
BEDROOM 1
In the first bedroom there is two single beds that can be turned into a king bed(pls advise before arrival). There is also a porta cot in the wardrobe in this bedroom.
BEDROOM 2
1 Queen bed.

Cottage is fully self-contained with full kitchen and is available for people wanting a self-catered holiday - see below for what to bring.
There is a large wood-fired heater to keep you warm on cold nights. BBQ on balcony and fire pit and seating for sitting around. Try some camp oven cooking using our camp ovens.
WHAT TO BRING?
Food and drinks
Bed linen, towels, tea towels, bath mat, face washers, hand towels etc
An extra esky and ice for drinks as fridge is only 160L (bigger than a bar fridge however, and has a freezer section)
Clothing. Check weatherzone for latest updates in weather. The temperature at Koreelah Falls is usually the same as Warwick. Please note that even on a Summer night it can get cool. Summer months are hot during the day but usually still about 5c lower than Brisbane.
Torches, binoculars, camera
Books and magazines, cd's and ipod, bikes, swimmers, walking shoes + Ugg boots or woolly socks in winter.
Sunscreen and insect repellant
NO LAUNDRY FACILITIES + YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS, TOWELS, TEA TOWELS & PILLOW CASES
What we supply
Firewood - sometimes we may be out of kindling so you will have to find your own. There is plenty around the garden. Please try to replenish kindling for the next guest in case of rain, or they wont be able to have a fire.
Dishwashing detergent and cleaning gear

Full kitchen with Coffee plunger, utensils, cups, glasses, crockers, saucepans, frypans, trivet, 2 x camp ovens, knife block, kitchen scissors, bbq utensils.

For Telstra mobile phone users, mobile phone reception is available back at the Qld & NSW border crossing 10-15 mins away.
