I liked it
We stayed at this beautiful Kevin Borland designed property for 2 weeks, and it was hard to leave. The setting is perfect, just up the road from some of Melbourne's best beaches, minutes from Mount Eliza village, and in a quiet street with a creek backdrop.
The house itself is light filled and full of interesting design features, and the rear balcony has many visitors, including lorikeets and possums.

A beautiful bush setting in suburban Mount Eliza, and an inspiring architecturally designed 1960's house. A great base for exploring the Peninsula or for spending lazy days at the house, watching the birds and relaxing on the deck. A wonderful experience for adults and children, encouraging simple living with modern conveniences. Highly recommended.

We had a great week in your house. We loved the bush out look and especially
enjoyed the peace and the spaciousness. Really appreciated the thorough
and thoughtful hospitality. We loved being close to beaches, did some great day trips along the coast and were close enough to the city that the teenage children could come and go independently.

I was not sure what to expect when we turned into what looked like a suburban street in Mt Eliza. This is a unique property, a perfect blend of 60's architectural charm and modern fittings. The home is on two levels, and each level has its own deck overlooking a native bushland reserve. It is the upper deck which was particularly stunning. you feel very removed from your neighbours. The rainbow lorikeets were regular visitors to the seed bowl resting on the deck.
The owners installed modern stainless steel appliances within the original 60's kitchen cupboards. It was wonderful to see the architectural integrity of the house retained. Again, the furniture is a lovely blend of old and new.
The house is close to the beach (although not walking distance with children). Mt Eliza village is also a couple of minutes away by car. I would highly recommend this property to any couple or family. My young girls loved exploring the house and the owners added some lovely Christmas touches to the house (and Christmas treats in the fridge) on our arrival.

The house was lovely with very spacious accommodation, well equipped and close to all amenities - shops and beach both within walking distance. Wonderful to sit out on the deck to have breakfast in the morning and watch the beautiful array of birds. Plus, watch out for the possum in the evening.
The owner was really understanding and flexible with all our requests.
Would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful setting & design. Sitting on the deck with an afternoon sea breeze coming up the ravine was a nice way to end a summers day.
